Op-com cable on Vag-com

Can i use a Op-com cable on my audi to identify faults using the VCDs software?

Would that work, i probably need to install the driver for the cable ..?

I'm not a fan of ebay copies really. I'd buy an original cable, it will recoup its cost in no time.

One of the seat forums had a group buy at around 100 quid.
I got lucky and got one for 150.
but they do pop up cheap.

As James rightly says they pay for them selves in no time.
