Hey,
I bought an A3 quattro S-Line diesel just before Christmas and I'm having no end of trouble with it. The ABS light is on in the dash and the EBS switch isn't lit and it isn't working.
I took it to one garage who has vag and they told me the ABS pump was faulty, they took the pump off and sent it to BAA reman for a recondition, after having the car for two weeks they rang me up, said it hadn't worked, the ABS fault was still there and that I should take it to Audi's, which I did.
After being charged a considerable amount of money and replacing the ignition switch, which was apparently faulty too they are telling me either the ABS pump is faulty, at a part cost of £880.00, or the instrument cluster is faulty, at a cost of £650.00, its either/or apparently.
I was hoping there might be someone on this forum that can help me, this is costing me hand over fist and I'm no further along than I was nearly 6 weeks ago and minus several hundred quid. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do please? or can recommend someone who know what they are doing and it won't cost me another mortgage.
thanks very much.
