Hello to all those lucky enough to drive the Audi A3.
Many models, colours, and specs.....i myself own the 1.8T S-Line Quattro.
Breakdown of "Thomas" to date - like the train ( as it pulls like one )
Bought the car July 2011.
-> Was originally Audi dealers own personal car from Oxford Audi.
-> Mint, and i mean, mint condition, with 65k on the clock for 2001 model A3 8L
So far, the mods as follows:
-> S-Line 1.8T ( 180bhp standard )
-> Carborino Carbon Fibre Cold Air Kit
-> Bailey 2 Piece forged dump-valve
-> Upgraded coil packs, with NGK Iridiem Tips / 10-60w
-> Full ECU re-map and chip ( over-fuel, increase boost pressure on full whack)
-> De-cat, and Custom built exhaust 2 1/4 inch stainless steel, into central oval exhaust ( that spits fire from red-line)
-> Now knocking out 254 bhp
-> Fully re-built transfer box, with 50 / 50 gearing ratio as appose to 60/40.

Few issues i've got though if anyone can clear them up / link me to where an answer would be would be very greatly appreciated.
-> Getting a whining noise from the back on powerdown, not acceleration
-> There is a black pack above washer bottle, sometimes gives loud clicking noise after i've given it the beans.

Looking at doing a port / polish with big injectors, KO4 conversion with, low compression pistons.
Any ideas if anyone has ever done a RS4 into a A3 8L - my mechanic reckons he could do it
( baring in mind he's running a 700bhp Impreza, he knows his stuff)
