Hi I have a 2005 A4 Avant. Yesterday I went to get in it and the door handle cover came off in my hand. I have tried to put it back on again, but it won't stay on despite the fact I can't see that anything has broken off. I have seen many A3 and A4's with door handle covers missing, so am guessing that this has been a common fault. Can anyone help?

have a close look you will see a silver bit at the top
theres 2 notches that the cover fits on look at both you will see
well the silver part slides across
you need to put cover on pull handle as tho you are opening the door
and get a credit card and slide the silver bit towards the back of the car
if you post a pic ill point out the part
