Jardo's 'Journey to quattro' - My Story...

Cool as f**k, cars looking to be quite a well done daily / track car

Just don't go too far.............track wise

Sean

I'm going all the way track-wise.

Daily driving is dull as ****, so I might as well get a dull as **** car to do it in.

I'm just going through footage from yesterday, cobbled this together for a laugh.

I am really liking Harrys lap timer think I am going to have to get a better phone. How accurate is the GPS speed on the app? . I was thinking you definately seem to be having problems trying to find the apex of some of those corners when you then commented in the video.
I think Donnington looks like a really nice track to learn the art of track driving, with all the elevation changes and sections of the track like the craner curves with quite large run offs on most of the track it looks fun.

Went to Goodwood today.

It used lots of fuel, I had hilarious times driving it there, and everything is fine.

One of the center caps got lost and broken at Donington, so I've just taken them all off for now. I'm considering getting another set of wheels...

Booked a Mazda On Track day at Brands on the 5th of December, which will be nice. £150 for a full day with a pit, and lots of MX5's to overtake.

I'll pop to Argos and buy some Phillips ones; they come with a 1 year no questions guarantee.

"Wellll, you said no questions...."

Sometimes I think about it and LOL at the irony that it was me who finally decided to track an S3. I'm happy I the knowledge that I'm slowly destroying such a horrible thing haha.

Keep up Prawn!!! :undwech:

New things in the world of Jardo.

I purchased some spacers. I'll ft them tonight.

I bled my ABS pump, brakes work now. Yey.

Just waiting on a phone call from my local wheel refurb company to make sure I can leave the car with them for three days.

Ordered a new set of center caps.

Fitted some OBD scan gauge liquid type thing.

Things that I did today include fitting spacers and fitting polyurethane filled engine mounts.

Looking good, I would keep an eye on the inside shoulder of the front tyres running that much camber.

I don't want anybody thinking it's a remotely cared for car, wonky exhaust, rusty boot. She's perfect.

The tire wear so far has been incredibly equal and very even. I'm running with as little front camber as I possibly can until I fit the silver project top mounts and get the geo set up properly.

Which will all be done in time for Brands obviously :)

Girlfriend is in Australia loving life and travelling because she wants to take some time out from work and see the world. It's what she wants to do, so maybe now is my time to do my thing before settling down occurs...

Fair enough I thought.

When are you off to Brands? You running the Indy or GP?

Cool - may have to pop along to check out the 8ls on track if it doesn't collide with work :)

It's not my fault! I can't help but be angered by thick people.

Get the mounts done Gops, they make the whole car feel so much better. It just feels like everything is connected again. I really missed them from my last car.

Please do come to Brands, the more the merrier. Prawn isn't driving for a change, so lots of passenger laps and fun to be had :)
