Haha I was actually speaking to the owner of IE today on Facebook (he randomly added me, since I had some IE issues before) about that (and other stuff) hence my post on Staceys thread. He said the sump is machined from a 65lb block of ally down to that, ending up at 5lb. He reckons the kit will be $3000-4000 all said and done. I was planning on going for a Forge sump.
With regards to the girdle, it's not essential but it really depends on what the engine is revved to from what I can gather. Here's the fitting guide for the girdle using standard main caps:

As I posted on Staceys thread, the spec so far is:
+ 1mm Ferrea exhaust/inlet valves
Ferrea spring + retainer kit
JE 83mm pistons
TFSI crank + oil pump
IE rifle drilled rods
IE inlet
Wavetrac diff
...and I'll be ordering an IE girdle, forge baffled sump, Hemi TB, IE rail, timing belt gear + dowel pins, manual tensioner and a fluidampr.
Like I said before though, this is going to be a slow build though as I have a lot of financial commitments at the moment - PR for the mrs and myself, a wedding etc.
