    nos, would you?

Ive had it fitted on my previous car and it was great, made a huge difference, and you only pay for the extra power when you need it unlike other mods which cost you on the fuel bill every time you use the car. Works really really well on turbo cars as it reduces the temp by up to 80 degrees...

    High mileage?

Mines done 80k, I spent quite a bit on the big (80) service, but in my case the car looks and feels like a new car and I'm very very happy with it. btw its a 2000 plate 210 with revo and DV, simply but effective. I guess it all depends on maintenance history and levels of abuse over the years.

    c**k heads in cars

IMO people make mistakes and generally speaking I just let it go as life too short. However about 9 years ago, I got a lift with a couple of scaffolder mates from my old workplace, these are ****** big guys, power lifters and doormen... …anyhow, coming off the A1 the driver slightly...

    Tyre blowout!

Nasty...and lucky you managed to keep control. Something like that happened to my old car..coming down the A1, just had NO2 added to it and was coming down from a top end test, got down to about 85 i think, when the nearside rear blew throwing me into the central reservation and removing...

    Stuck Nuts!

IMO Welding a nut onto the damaged locking nut is the best bet for this type of problem if you have the space, the heat helps, even though its heating the stud, the expansion and contraction helps to break to corrosion that caused it to bind..Clearly though after welding allow to fully cool...

Front wishbone bushes - A3 and S3 identical?

...shaft..when the bearing cools it shrinks again and is a tight fit...an interference fit. Pressing is the term used to describe the use of hydraulic or mechanical equipment to overcome this tight fit.........basically its too bl**dy tight to remove by hand so ill press it out. hope this helps.

    S3 or TT?

I think the TT would look soooooo much better if only there was not so many of them on the road.. The TT looks like a sports car but does not drive like one, it under delivers whilst the S3 looks like an impressive hot hatch but it's subdued, it over delivers...its a real sleeper.. and more...

    Modding - then selling?!?!

I've always completely avoided cars that have been modified. I'd love to give a clever reason for this but the best I can come up with is that it seemed to be a sign that the car had been raced, crashed and thrashed. In reality allot of modded cars are looked after in the extreme and often...

I think they look very cool..not normally a big fan of external mods, but they are different and do look good on the motor. r

    Alloy condition

In this case I'm pretty confident its not residue, I think Simch is spot on here... but like you say its not an urgently pressing problem, just cosmetic and a bit annoying.

    Alloy condition

huuuum, not so good. It would be a good excuse to buy bigger rims, but to be honest I want to keep this car looking as standard as possible. any recommendations for wheel refurbish in the Richmond / west London area? P.S. I have been using Autoglym car shampoo

    Alloy condition

I've been reading through previous threads about cleaning agents for alloys and picked up some good advice, one thing that I have noticed though after I've cleaned my alloys (17" Avus), is that when they dry, they appear to have a white film over them, it looks almost like a white powder on the...

    500bhp S3

I'll go get my glasses and take another look.. BTW, Are dyno runs always done in top gear, I thought they should be done in the gear which is closest to a 1:1 ratio, i.e. the most efficient gear?. Is it a standard that you test in top? r

    500bhp S3

I've got to be honest and say its hard to tell if its an s3 or 4 from that vid, I guess its more likely to be S4 with that power output. This is def an S3...needs sound as the noise is great http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f33wFjvktqA&mode=related&search=
