I did put 19 bbs chr on from my 8p but really fancied a change
These wheels are lighter and combined with the super sport tyres it transforms the car handling wise reducing the dreaded bounce massively

It's gone to Nathan (Kowalski Details) in Manchester. He was kind enough to lend me a wheel too...

Me too this happened on Friday to my TT's diamond cut alloy a**ehole cut a tight corner and made me clip the curb...it was that or new front end!

Luckily I took out wheel & tyre insurance . I took out that insurance deal too with the Audi dealer. Was it eay enough to resolve with the insurers?

Has anyone got any recommendation for alloy repair specialists (or even the mobile ones) in the south east london area?

Quite like them actually !

Quite a bit of work involved, swapping tyres etc etc but a good advert potentially.

Look forward to a report on the work with before and after photos.

Is this your first time claiming ? I wonder if its worth the paper its written on.

I got that included with a new car I bought, they added it on by mistake, when I told them they amended the invoice and gave it to me anyway, shame I didnt get a chance to scrape the alloys, as I only kept the car 6 weeks !

Luckily yes it's the first time claiming I'll soon find out if it's worth it. Policy states I can claim x10 wheel repairs and x5 tyre replacements over 4yrs. I got this policy along with GAP Insurance when I purchased the TT but both policies can be carried over if I decide to change my car

I agree. For some reason, they look better on a Java Green S3, than they do on a Lapiz Blue Golf R !!

I've never liked then on the Golf, I would have got for the Pretoria alloys on the Golf, but the standard 18" alloys look good on the S3!

Yes veeeight...Wheels are very subjective but can seriously make or break a car

Swainy73...you are the test case, fingers crossed !

What are those wheels and where did you get them from?

Fancied a new set of wheels for a while now and I think they may be the ones for me!

I love the standard S3 alloys, think Audi got these spot on. Actually prefer them to the 10-spoke options!

I know the feeling. I managed to scratch up all 4 of my alloys in the space of 3 weeks (quite soon after receiving my car).

Repairs took over a week - they had to send all four wheels off to a specialist.

I'd do more than cry if I curbed an alloy that cost that much!!!!

Someone needs to bring out special pre curbed alloys that when curbed polish up nicely !

Both the Revo and the ABT are manufactured in Great Britain I wonder if they are both made at the same place, they are different but have a similar look to them that they might be. Price is very different though.

Just been notified that my claim to repair the damaged Diamond Cut wheel has been approved and Audi Dundee has been nominated as their approved repairer. Just waiting on them to contact me now to arrange a date, I hope they give me a replacement wheel

Premia Solutions contacted me on the 4/09/15 informing me that Audi Dundee have been notified as the authorised repairer and Audi will be contacting me within 2days to schedule the alloy repair...it's now the 14/09/15 and as usual I've not heard a thing from them
Customer Aftercare is definitely not their strongest point!
See what happens now I've had to intervene....ridiculous!

Hi Guys,

I did this in an underground carpark after having my car for three weeks.

I have to agree that it is the most soul destroying noise/feeling. The fact that the alloys are diamond cut left me feeling like I had to buy a new wheel or pay for expensive refurb - so I decided to have a go myself with some wire wool and t cut. Please see the results below
Image3

I have more work to do to finish and seal it but it was surprisingly easy to do.

I have since invested in a set of alloygators and have to say that they are a very good product. Please see a photo below of my S3 with the graphite gators fitted. They look great with 19'' S3 alloys. If you have any questions about alloygators please ask.

I have had alloygators fitted to mine since I got it. Saved me from that sickening feeleing several times!!
