I couldn't get much further away
Sepang BlueLovely S1, which blue is it?
Having owned four audi's and not really caring about where I park I've never had a door ding. Audi's are tough cars I feel.
I've bashed the door of my TT into my garage pillar once and it just chipped the paint but not ding.
Not going to bother too much about my new S3 TBH.
Only bad experience I have encountered double parking was a rude post it note attached to the wiper, normal parking has cost me over a grand in the last ten years with various dings,so I guess I'll take my chances.I've found from experience that when you double park, even if it is far away you just attract more attention. My boss once double parked his car miles away and came back to even more personalised number plates than normal!
I wouldn't be too cavalier about the soft aluminium panels on the 8V though.....

...and also, never park next to a car with a child seatThree simple rules for me.
1. Never park next to an old banger
2. Avoid parking next to 4x4's
2 Always park next to the newest/ most expensive car you can see (except 4x4's)

I never park near the trolley bays, too many people go past your car with empty trolleys ready to chuck them in the bay. That's if they don't leave them lying where they were parked that is.
Correct... See my rule number 3I drove into a car park which had no cars. This was a large car park as well! Parked a fair distance from the entrance. Went into shop for 15 mins to come out to find a car parked right next to mine!! Why!!! Why do that! I can only think they know u look after ur car so they would rather park next to u then a banger.
I parked my six month old A3 miles away from anyone in a pub car park last week and came back to find my passenger door looking like this:
The photo doesn't show up the nice dent that accompanied it. Going in to be sorted and resprayed on Thursday, that's £224 down the drain...
