Can't seem to find a tutorial on it or anything, anyone done a step by step guide for fitting coilovers at all?

mmmmm you never done it before to any other car?

its handy enough on the A3's, changed plenty of suspension and coilovers before.

wheels off
caliper off
drop links off
driveshaft out of brake/hub
raise scuttle panel slightly to remove 3 off bolts at the top mount
lift whole front suspension out with brake
remove bolt holding shock and hammer out
remove top mount
use a chizel to help pry open the back of the brake to reinsert the coilover and bolt in
get a couple of threads on the 3 top bolts at the top mount
reinsert drive shaft
reattach drop link
put caliper back on
check everything is tight

bit vague but you will see as you go along

the back is **** easy - jack up one side and have the other on an axle stand, remove both shocks (2 bolts at top, 1 at bottom).
the rear beam will drop so insert coilover springs
attach new shocks to the top first then use the jack to raise the rear beam up to the bottom of the shock to make it easier to bolt in.
check everything again for tightness

wheels on, go drive to get for noises.

if in doubt, seek help

Good lad - just take it easy and watch that the drive shaft doesnt come out of the engine block lol shouldnt do but just take it easy. Watch for the brake clips and sensors etc...

You text me that monday mornin, get a move on lad! :asskicking:

Well i'm not having to do it with a friend that has axle stands, rather than a friend that has a fcuking ramp and lift!

Would be much easier with that but he's been a bitch all week

So hush!
