Mate to be fair there is no way that a3 is worth 3k IMO especially with 160k

Your clio looks in good nick and as said before would drive miles better, keep looking until you get what your really after.... a nice 8L S3

I wouldn't part exchange, not for that one, it's not worth the same as your Clio with that mileage, the A3 is a superior car to the clio so I'd look for one with less mileage...

I'd just save or sell the clio and wait a few weeks.

He claims that his Forge DV cost £160? What is it gold plated? Think your better of selling the Cilo and buying an A3 with cash. I dont think anyone would want to downgrade to a cilo after a Quattro A3.

No way, not for that A3 anyway....especially considering the miles. My 70K miles car (which is nicer by a long way) isnt worth a lot more than that guy wants for his A3.

Generally speaking, the Clio is a far more fun car to drive, and handles much, much better. Have you test driven an A3 yet?

As for that particular A3, its worth no more than about £2k.

what the guy said! had a 172 before the s3, -just wait a little longer is my advice. if you bought that (a3) you'd never be happy and always know YOU BOUGHT THE WRONG CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
