'01 Allroad. Matt Silver Mirrors....

Can I simply swap the covers from an equivalent A6/RS6 onto my Allroad ?
Does anyone have a link to any available products out there, or have a pair to sell even ?

I have no idea in honesty! Do they have the same mirror caps? If so then I guess you can - have a look on www.vagcat.com and compare part numbers etc

I thought a definitive way might be to visit in-pro's website to see if they are seperately listed. Sure enough my suspicions were confirmed when they listed ........ 'A6 (not Allroad)' - suggesting they are different sizes.

I was over at my local dealer today and surprised to note that the Aluminium mirrors on the RS4's etc are in fact painted plastic but very convincing.
Has anyone painted thier own mirror housings here ? Whats the best paint to use and is it best to finish with a semi-matt laquer ?

I have done it. I used Avus silver the original colour from the dealer, however Halfords do an "Audi Aluminium Silver" which is very very close.
