Just to give everyone a update!

I have ordered 4x Falken Fk-452 Tyres in 215/40/18, got them fitted balenced etc for £300 notes. Not bad i thought....

A reasonable strech there. Ive seen alot worse.

Yeah its nothing to crazy, i didnt want to go over the top at all!

Not going stupidly low, i guess around 50-60mm. i want it to sit the same as the yellow S3 up the page. next step is getting the rears spaced and painting my calipers!

looks lovely mate, If you dont mind me asking how much did the wheels cost with the caps? I want a set and Im trying to get it past the girlfriend. for some reason she thinks saving for a house is more important

I have toyos on the rear of mine on 19`s and they look stretched like your pic compared to the ZZ3`s on the front. Both 235 /35/19. I can`t wait to get them off and have ZZ3`s all round as the stretch look isn`t for me but those wheels look good ...

People use them to get the Euro look, just buy 215 rater than 225 or 235

But you have to have the car really low amongst other things go get the right look.

Quite True! I dont think mine looks to bad, but will be a million times better once lowered

Forgive me gents, but what are stretched tyres? And why would anyone use them instead of the correct size tyre?

Stretched tyres are as you can see in my picture, tyres which are designed for a smaller width rim. It give a inwards look to the sidewalls.

They have no advantage than to fit larger size wheels to small cars to try and help possible problems with scrubbing tyres.

Yeah i don't mind sharing!

wheels were £500, plus £35 for the carbon caps and £20 delivery.
tyres cost me £300, which was cheap mates rates!

The general idea behind a stretched tyre is so it tucks under the arches better, therefore less likely to scrub.
