So far, so good. I'm pleased.. I got a good deal on it too with a fair bit of haggling and money flashing.

Wish I had: Leather. The DIS computer to display Avg. MPG etc also (What 2003 car doesn't come without this these days!!? :()

Half the power of the S3 - but double the comfort and economy.

Looks great mate. One of the best colours too I think :salute:

Got any interior shots?

Looks lovely well wear.

You could retrofit the DIS if you wanted and there's leather interiors on ebay the odd time.

No interior shots yet I'm afraid! The upholstery needs a good blow over - photos to follow.

Thanks. Tell me more about the DIS, are you speaking from first hand experience? Any indication on price etc? It's not essential, but would come in handy. (I guess the wiper stalks have to be replaced also?)

Yeaahhh Thats Lovely! Loving the colour and its a minter!!!!

Yep...it looks fab....I always wanted the 1.9 Sport Quattro.....but could never find a low mileage one at the time......so had to make do with my 2.5....

Yeah I installed it myself at the same time as cruise control. The cost depends on whether you want/have cruise already, otherwise its just the stalk, grounding a wire for the washer and some coding with VCDS. The stalk costs about £60. Check here for more info

And get those interior shots up

!!!! Good spot. Even more so as Retford is literally 20 minutes from me. However, until things kick off and I'm sat where I want to be, I cannot fund the additional 'luxery'. :( Thanks for the heads up though

*new photos of Avant to follow shortly*

love the colour , let me have the front bumper splitter for my avant if u like !!! he he he:)

Thanks James.

Yeah, she's come up alright so far - still to make another pass on the paintwork to refine it a bit more. Also, need to correct a few areas I wasn't able to do so on the first pass. IE, the roof:

The car generally, was in good nick when I got it. Pretty severe holograms/swirls down the sides when it was caught in the sun but yeah, tidy.

This mornings job was to get the wheels off again to paint the calipers

bit of a quick job really..

It's made a massive difference though - looks spot on.

Looks cracking mate! I love it.

In these times and what I read today about petrol increase, more MPG is a darn good thing!

Wheels look mint condition!

Enjoy it mate!

Jimmeh, how did you do the calipers? Did you just degrease them and brush paint them in situ? Or unclip them from the mounting bracket and spray them? I guess you didn't take them off the car completely?

You're right, the calipers stayed on the car at all times. (you can tell by the over-'paint' I got on the brake pad! -'Doh!)

I wire-wooled them. Degreased and cleaned then painted with a few fine brushes.

It's all I ever did on my old car and so long as they're kept clean, it's happy days! :p

love that colour man its same as my A3 I'm sure of it, I do miss my B6 avant, they're nice spacious cars.
