I have a 02 S3 and am required to fit continental headlights.

Not cheep, I heard I could have then 'switched'? I t briefly mentions this in the manual, done by a lever? Is anyone wise to this?? I assumed it would be done by Vag com???

Any advice would be appreciated :)

i have headlights for sale mate that are the ones you need. check the classified...

Check out this site http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/macnee/home.htm and download the A3 Electrical Manual and then go to Page 94-32; depending on which type of light you have you can pull off the plastic cover in the engine bay to gain access to the rear of the bulbs and then shift the lever the relevant way to acheive the desired direction

If you are talking a temporary switch over for driving abroad then yes, there is a lever you can move. Take the back off the headlight and you should be able to feel it towards the bottom of the headlight unit.

Yeah, cause my cars over in germany (and now registered over here) i need to have the lights set as LHD and have them tested as you would in the uk in an MOT

Can't you just give fritz the MOT man a few free Steins! !!

The switch is there but it is a pain in the *** to get to! I tried doing it on the Eurotunnel once and realised I would have to have all the front off and it would take more than the 35 minutes i had, so I just leave them and quite enjoy the odd dazzling of Johnny F!

It's only ever the odd trucker on the main roads that flash, and they are all driving illegal Polish lorries so fapp em!

Have a fiddle, the lever is there, but you may not pass the MOT still and it restricts the beam pattern not turns it into LHD.

You may be better to just stick some beam benders on it!!
