I want to do this too, did you get the clear indicators from Audi? Also how easy was the rear light swap and where did you source them?

I was getting to get a set from Vagparts but want to know how easy the swap over was particlualry as I have the CD Changer and the bose subwoofer thing crammed into the passenger side boot storage thing!

HELP! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Sourced the rear clusters and the clear side indicators from my old favourite "ebay"(Germany)!! vagparts are asking for a tad more than i paid for mine (think with postage from germany etc it was a total of around £60 )pretty good price i reckon! side indicators have cost me about £10 !! (GERMANY AGAIN!)

Fitting of the rear clusters is really easy except for one thing!there are 4 nuts to undo and the 2 furthest in are a pain to get at,,still have scars on my hands doing it!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif
once you remove them its a case of just pulling them off! youll need to change your indicator bulbs to coloured ones (various styles..) other wise they flash white!
other than thast its a doddle! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I think they look much better than the earlier styled ones... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/groovy.gif

Do you have the part numbers for the rear light clusters? I also changed my side repeaters to the white ones. IMO they now look fantastic. Ming blue A3 with orange knobbles on the wings looked yuk.
The white side repeater covers only cost a couple of quid each from VW/Audi... And then a few more pence for the orange bulbs....

dont have a part number for the rear clusters, bought them of ebay and had them imported, much cheaper than audi, you could try vagparts who sell them but there a tad dearer than i payed, still an excellent site though and ive had some nice bits from them.

they shud just clip out, but even if they dont you can take the wing out in about 15 mins, 5 torqs at the top, couple under the arches, 3 in between the door and the wing, and if its got skirts you wou will have to remove them aswell.
