I want to change the exhaust on the S3, and was wondering, does anyone know if the downpipe and/or the exhaust is the same as the one in the A3 2.0T?

I can source the A3 exhaust much easier and cheaper from the US.

The S3 downpipe takes a different route down from the turbo to avoid the prop so there is no way it would fit, although you could in theory fit an S3 downpipe to a FWD 2.0T FSI car..

Milltek is the your bet, speak to Regal Autosport, they can do good deals on Milltek parts and good guys to deal with!

I've still got a full Milltek Turbo back with high flow cat with only 7K miles on it if you're not fussy about a brand new one?

On the topic of downpipes, which size do you guys reckon?

2.75 from the milltek turboback, or the 3" (as seen on certain 2.0t applications)?

If I'm going custom, and possibly catless, what would be the recommended size?

The Milltek downpipe is 3". I think that if the rear section was any bigger than 2.75" you'd have trouble with knocking. It's a tight fight with the 2.75".
