Yes, my car was stuck at Emden for 5 weeks (Audi said it was in QC, then extended QC) meaning there was an issue with the car that had taken weeks to fix. To get my issue looked at in the end, I had to send an email to the Director of Audi UK, then phone call and and a couple of days later (Today) my car is finally on it's way to the UK...

Has anybody ever seen it taking so long in status 30? I ordered my SQ7 vorsprung at the start of August and I cant actually believe how long it is taking.

Is the SQ7 built in Mexico (new factory) like the Q5 because all those vehicles then go back to Germany for additional quality control checking before released to the UK

At last! Glad to hear you finally made progress and it's on it's way to you. Make sure you claim that crate of Möet when you go to collect it and hand back the A5!

Mine is also on a ferry as of today Keeping my fingers crossed it has a speedy journey across the channel and up to Scotland now!

My car is an A3, and was built in Ingolstadt. The only reason I think it has been stuck at Emden is either damage to the car during shipping or the has been a problem with one of the options I selected (I did put a lot of extra's on the car). Regardless of what the issue was I just hope it's fixed and I don't have to reject another car!

I doubt very much they would start your build unless all the optional bits we're in place when the car hits the production track. The last thing Audi want is cars out of sequence, imagine the logistical nightmare !

How long have you waited between ordering the car and status 39?

The order date was june. From what I was told by Audi UK so far, was my car was flagged for QC immediately after leaving the factory, so something must have been amiss with the car! Either damage, missing option, software issue, fault etc. Still waiting on a phone call tomorrow from Audi UK about why it was delayed for 5 weeks in QC.

Just been having a look over the status codes and my car might be further along its journey than I thought.

It changed to status 39 on the tracker today. Can someone confirm for me if this means it's on a boat as I thought, or whether it means it has already arrived in the UK?

I'm hoping it's the latter!

That would be on a boat. Status 40 (arrived in UK) will happen in a couple of days even though the crossing takes a matter of hours.

You should be very happy, 39 is the unknown status that can take a matter of days or up to 4 or 5 weeks. Your wait is nearly over.

Tomorrow you should get on the phone to the dealer as chances are they wont know your car is on the way. As soon as status 40 hits your dealer has to raise the transport order to get the car from the port to the dealer.

That's great, thanks. It's been at Emden for over 3 weeks which have dragged by so I'm happy for the progress! Will get in touch with the dealer tomorrow, didn't know you could do this to help speed things up

Mine told me the transport order is automatic and they can’t do anything but wait. Tomorrow will be 4 full days at the port for my car, it arrived early hours of Saturday morning. Hoping it will be on the move....

Also had a call from the dealer asking me to stop in to finalise the paperwork, and said we can check when the car will be delivered while I'm in. Should be within 7 days though apparently. Getting excited now!

In the end its taken about 4 weeks from leaving the factory to reaching status 40 today. The three weeks with no updates while it sat at Emden were the worst!

The tracker is a cruel form of mental torture, no doubt about it!

It seems to be pot luck how long your car ends up waiting on trains/ferries/transporters, so fingers crossed yours won't take as long as mine.

Dealer told me Status 70 as of this evening, car is at their prep center, then it will be delivered to them either Monday or Tuesday (trying to push for the weekend)

depending on what you’re looking to do whilst you’re there @KeithJLambert both the Xplor and Xel-Ha parks are a pretty fun day out if you get bored in the hotel!

ours was hotel catalonia, we loved it, and yes both those place are good and also the ecological park is good day out, but there is loads to do in mexico, lovely place, enjoy keith

same hotel we stayed at, we loved it, loads of bars and restaurants and if you come out the hotel and walk to marina bars and food places and you see where they rescue dolphins. you will love it. we park in Gatwick longstay but leave the car not the valet thing and always been fine

I had the same thing, signed all paperwork on the Friday and I did get a sneaky peak of my car with its covers on but couldn't collect until the Monday, its the only time I wanted a weekend to hurry up lol

Status 38 this morning. From what I can see on here that means it’s arrived at Emden. So now waiting for a ship to bring her over to Sheerness... hopefully just a few more weeks to wait.. it’s been a long 3 months!

Thank you! Been following it for an hour or so, the colour is out of this world I am so so happy.. couldn’t have imagined it any better.

Got out in the services just now and had a peek at the front end again on the transporter, I love it.

Yes it’s still dirty at the moment, should be great once it’s detailed. Collecting it from PPF a week today, will be a 200 mike trip back and then drop off at my local dealer for ceramic coating.
