yourAudi - Track New Car Order

If they gave me build week 49 is there any chance it can get built earlier? Or are these things pretty much set and not changeable?
Also how long before you can track the order? Ive been given the order number but the website cant find anything

Hi, see my post above; looks like mine is being built a week earlier than the tracker has been saying so things can be subject to change. I think that your car will appear on the tracker in the next day or so. Also and if you haven't already done so, see the earlier posts (including mine) that describe how you can view the more detailed JSON order status data alongside the headline in your My Audi dashboard.

Usually a week or more is normal before the system updates.
:sign welcome:

Mine's also slightly ahead of schedule. Official build week was w/c 6th Nov but it was in the panel shop today.

@A34Josh The tracker took ages to work for me. I ordered Oct 1st but it only recognised my order on 24th.

Mine got to Emden on the 25th, so it’s been there for 9 days now :( I really had hoped it was going to leave this weekend, damn.

Audi UK told me the latest it will ship is the 9th but previous responses have shown that is nonsense.

Next ship to arrive at Emden is the CITY OF SUNDERLAND on the 5th and arrives at the Tyne on the 7th. the problem is you just don't know what they are picking up...

rang dealers this morning and they said as within 28 days I could cancel but then id have to go in and change all the paperwork and direct debits as this will affect the monthly payments etc, I'm missing a lot of work at the moment as mum in hospital so I just said to them ok not to worry I will know for next time, but thanks for letting me know as I know I wont pay for this again
Don't let them wash it either when in for servicing etc. Every time without fail Audi have ****** up my car as it seems they use un-trained monkeys to do it.

TX.

Mine is on a ship :D updated at 1:04am.

There is one ship currently in Grimsby, one on the way due to arrive tomorrow... not sure which one it is on, will find out if it changed to Status 40 tonight with the other one still at sea.

Almost definitely ;) I waited up until gone midnight for an update last night, but didn’t have one and fell asleep with the iPad in my hands :lmfao:
I had a nice surprise when I woke!

Picking up the iPhone X tomorrow, expensive month!

And paint today @K4R3N_86 ! As you say, it's great to see some movement...and ahead of our expected build week

Unfortunately it is an automated tracker, all cars will go into production the Thursday before build without fail. Mine did, it didn’t leave the factory until the Saturday after the build date! :(

Ha ha - I looked at half midnight last night to see mine still in QC for the 5th day.
Your post prompted me to check again today and it’s finally left the factory. Woo
Getting closer!!

You shouldn’t need prompting to check, poor effort ;)

Seems to be a lot of us are getting our cars close together.

Tell my wife that I need to check it more often!
She didn’t seem too excited watching the new clip of cars being loaded onto a transporter

Assembly now.

My wife just raises her eyes when I mention it.

I'm afraid you are stuck with the interior light nonsense. My MK7 Golf was just the same, nothing until you open the door. I too find it annoying. I wish it would kill the music as well. Hopefully someone will read this and prove me wrong....

My Mk6 Golf worked as you'd think: Kill the ignition then all interior lights come on so you can gather up your phone etc before getting out.

Next Question?

I cant believe how frustrating this is, and worse thing is the headlights stay lit for 20 seconds when locked the car which is no use to me, I want interior light to work when I stop the engine, every car ive had has this working, go to an audi and simple thing like that doesn't happen, I have to open door to get the light which is ruining my door when its raining, only other thing I'm going to have to do is switch light on manually everytime and hope I remember to switch it off :weary:

Yes, mine is in assembly too. :friendly wink: The dealer called me yesterday and she seems confident that I'll be able to go in and collect when I get back from holiday (w/c 27th November). I think that I'm a little less confident than she is, given the unknown timescales around transit/shipping. I know that these topics are covered elsewhere but I'm now thinking about immobilisers, dash cams and CCTV; it's sad that you have to worry about your car getting stolen before you've even taken delivery! I guess that's just the world we live in.....

Or pull the key out of the ignition?

Same thinking here too, and it's one of the things that put me off an S3.

Seems Blackvue is well-regarded as a dashcam, judging by what I have read on here. Screwfix have a 4ch Swann cctv kit with 2 cameras at around £250 IIRC. A friend of mine has that kit and said it's really good.

Late November delivery would be perfect; the MOT on mine runs out Dec 4th.

Thanks for the CCTV tip Dave, I'll look into that. I've been looking at the Blackvue cams too, as you say, they seem to come recommended (also the Waylens Horizon soon to release a 360 degrees cam but they are expensive).

Fingers crossed for the three of us for that late November delivery!

Or if you have another car and a driveway, park that in front of your S3.

I'd never heard of Waylens until I read the valet parking thread. Too expensive for me :) .

And mine too @KeithJLambert !!

Have you been watching the production video clips? I can't help but feel they need to update them; they're showing the 8P platform, which takes the magic away a little. Picky, I know, but still...

That said, it's not dampened my excitement! :)

All you people watching your trackers by the hour and mine's been sitting at the dealer's compound for over a fortnight now! :(

Have arranged collection for Dec 5th so still four weeks to wait. Have also told them quite clearly that I want a GB plate on the rear and no additional branding whatsoever, including numberplate surrounds or dealer stickers. They've said they'll adhere to it.

Has anybody ever seen it taking so long in status 30? I ordered my SQ7 vorsprung at the start of August and I cant actually believe how long it is taking.

That is a long time - mine took three days from 24 to 30.

SQ7? - Nice but you're in the wrong forum :p

My tracker has been showing on the way to the UK since Friday, but the dealer confirmed today the car is in the UK.. the ship landed on Saturday.

I had hoped to see the car this week and on Friday have it transporter to the PPF company, but it has to go to their compound first :( :( I booked this week off work, long week ahead.

Praying for a phone call tomorrow to say it’s on its way to them, haha. How long was yours in the UK port and when? The end of October apparently, VWFS did a stock check which held everything back.

There's no consistency mate. I always get mine the day I do the deal along with the paperwork but others seem to have to wait on it being sent to them for some reason.
Yeah I got the email yesterday finally can track the progress after 2 weeks of ordering

Yup, mine is keyless as was my Golf, must be a 'feature'
Its a small price to pay for the convenience.

others ive spoken too say this should work and could be something to do with settings in the fob, I'm going to read handbook and if cant find out anything I will ring audi and ask them
