Hi thanks for taking the time to help,
I have an Audi A3 Tdi 2001, bought it 12 months ago.

A couple of months ago I noticed when driving along the motorway Accelerating I would get to about 70-80mph and the car would just stop pulling and stay at 70mph even with my foot all the way down and sometimes the revs would go up but the car wouldn't pull. I put it down to my clutch slipping or wearing and planned on getting it replaced
The problem wouldn't happen all the time only sometimes and It would only happen at high speeds (between 60-80) so I decided to wait until it got worse but it never did so I just carried on.
2 weeks ago I felt a pulsating in my clutch pedal and it turned out to be my flywheel, so I decided to purchase a DMR (dual mass replacement clutch kit) from eBay and got my local mechanic to fit it (@ £170 labour only for those wondering)
I'd thought once he fitted that the problem with it not pulling at high speeds would have gone away but it hasn't its still there?
If there's any mechanics or anyone who knows about cars or might have an idea what the problems is any info would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Thanks for ur help every1 that really was just great

What do you expect?! You posted this yesterday evening. Not everyone has a TDI nor will everyone have had this problem.

So I'm going to assume that your common sense made you replace the clutch at the same time as the flywheel???

And I'm also going to assume that you've had the car scanned for fault codes and have a few that we can go off to diagnose the problem? As unfortunately the ASN community are not directly linked up to your ECU

...... hang on I've just detected a misfire on my neighbours A4....

I'm neither a mechanic nor a diesel owner, can only give you what I've read from the Haynes workshop manual...

Engine hestitates on acceleration

Possibly...
Faulty injector(s) - diesel models
Incorrect injection pump timing - diesel models

Engine lacks power

Possibly...
Fuel filter choked
Fuel tank vent blocked,or fuel pipes restricted
Blocked injector/fuel injection system fault
Faulty injector(s) - diesel models
Air in fuel system - diesel models

That should give you something to start looking at.

so you just bought a new dual mass?

First I would like to apologise for looking like a ****.. didn't mean to get impatient just thought if no1 replied within first 24 hrs of post I didnt think it would get a reply atall.. it's the only forum site I've signed up to and my first post...yes I got the the flywheel and clutch done at the same time because of common sense and no It hasn't been put on the diagnostic machine.
