Literally cant wait to be a S3 owner !

hey guys/gals, well this is the month i hopefully get my car and i honestly cant wait.

Like many i was ummm and arrring for some time untill Audi came back with a cracking deal so i took the plunge on a 3 door sepang blue.

No exact date as yet, Audi keep telling me its at port ready to sail and when they know more information they will pass it on.

So in the meantime ive been keeping myself occupied by trawling through the site about upgrades etc.

Already purchased mudflaps, rs3 grill, dtuk box and in the process of looking into air intakes, will put the dtuk and intake on probably after ive done a 1000 miles as due to going to santa pod in april

Hi Mike, Welcome to the forum tons of useful stuff on here from like minded owners. Your car sounds fab make sure you update us with full spec and pics when you get it.

You lost me a bit back then with mudflaps but soon got me back with tuning boxes and intakes lol ;o)

Cheers Rob, not seen a 8v on here with mudflaps, apparently new out as i was told by the sales guy which he initially insisted they did not do them for the s-line s models. all i want to do is try and keep the stone chips at bay. £170 fitted though !!

As for the DTUK boxes ive had them before, granted on diesels but the difference was night and day and warranty friendly too so all good.

Glad i got you back on track mate wouldn't want you falling asleep with the sound of mudflaps, mats, car covers, fury dice and sunstrips lololol.

ok ok lol maybe the mudflaps is not such a good cosmetic idea i agree, stone chips is a concern after owning a gtc vxr the side was peppered with stone chips after a month !

That's because you don't do a lot of miles mate, av got a few tiny stonechips some on the side aswell,with all that ******* rain for months upon end has slightly taken its toll on my car,all dual carriageway's motorway journey's... The worst roads to Get them on

Congrats on the purchase, the build up to collection day and the day itself is a great feeling!

Don't do the mudflaps... I live in North Wales where the roads are terrible. I've had my car 10 months now and not noticed any wear or stone chips. Remember, Audi's body preperation, paint, coats and lacquer will be MUCH better than Vauxhall annnndddd the wheels are less likely to spin on the S3 being Quattro/Haldex and all

Just dont add many optional extras mate...or your s3 will be up there with yer gtc in its first year depreciation...
