Well after much consideration and searching for a used S3, I decided against a used car and placed an order for a new S3 Hatch yesterday. The figures on the S3 and new car APR is just too good.

Has anyone else made the change from a TT to and S? (Mine was a 2014 TDI Amplified Black)

With 300ps, Launch Control and a few other extra, I'm happy :cool: Hurry up May! :tapedshut:
This is pretty much the spec I've gone for, apart from the silly sensor in the front grill, I also went for the full LED headlights.

Finally the right number of doors, sounds pretty much the same as mine!

Yes, 3 door looks better to me and I don't need the 4. I believe you're the same guy I was messaging on Instagram, small world! Confirmed order this morning :D

Yeah! It was pretty much confirmed but still interested to find all the info I can!

S tronic, Full LED headlights, sat nav, half alcantara half leather, Bang & Olfsen, folding mirrors, privacy glass!

Sepang looks amazing when clean. Think the issue is maintenance which is the only reason I changed mine at the 11th hour to Glacier White.

Yep, the hatch IMO is the best looking S3. I went from a TTRS to my current S3. My RS was in Sepang. Looks great when clean, but did show scratches and swirl marks easily, so polish with care. Best colour I have seen for this car is Solar Orange, just a shame it was £2500 to have it or I may have gone there... white was the obvious choice, but on this occasion, it was hard to resist misano red for me. I'll be getting my RS3 estate in glacier no doubt... yawn I know, but I think the sportback suits white quite well.

Agree with this, mine was perfect until i took in to audi for a new tire (don't ask).. there are now slight swirls in the roof, but nothing a machine polish and a coat of swissvax won't fix :kissmyrings:
 
Have to agree with all the Sepang comments. What have I been saying?????

Sounds like a good spec, the comfort pack is useful and may be worth you looking into it.

The three door does look a nicer balanced car some how.

I don't have any little ones so the hatch makes sense to me and I personally like it more. I used to have an Indi Blue Cooper S which I kept tidy with Dodo Juice purple haze wax - great stuff!

The order should of been sent through today and Audi have said 10 weeks build usually but, cars are coming through quick at the moment so hopefully it will be mid - April!

@steeve I've gone for LED headlights and it looks like you get the rain and light sensor package with these. I believe the only extra the comfort package would give me is cruise control and parking sensors which I've never found I need and want.

@SilureMark How is the S3 compared to the TTRS? I have been looking for an RS since October 2014 but decided the APR is too high and the mpg to performance ratio of the S3 just seems too good not to get one!

I haven't gone for High beam assist as it seems from forums, it's more of a nuisance than a help. Plus, it wouldn't allow you to flash the on-coming car if they haven't dipped theirs, right!?:think:

Any options you guys can recommend that are a MUST, any feedback would be appreciated.

The most often used extras I use are cruise and rear parking sensors as I find it difficult to judge the cars length (but that's a problem of age and neck problems).

Rain and light sensor are part of the comfort pack which also includes auto dimming rear view mirror and also gives you cruise and rear sensors for free if I remember right.

LED headlights give you just the headlights.

I'll check the flash function tonight but HBA works flawlessly on my Leon.

Ah, I was told that LED headlights are automatic and come with the 'Come Home Function' likewise when you unlock the car, the DRL's come on.

Just checked on the configurator and LED headlights do include the light and rain sensor package (£150 on their own without comfort pack) - sorry for any confusion.

I've ordered comfort pack and LED headlights which both include the light and rain sensor. Hmm does this mean I've paid for them twice ?????

I've just seen that too on the specification guide. Hope you haven't paid twice!

Haha yes it is spoils the lines of the grille IMO and why I left off ACC
 
What's the big deal with mono pur?

It just looks like leather on the centre console and arm rest to me for £295??

Two weeks after order date and I've still not got a build week:(

Spoke to my dealer today and they said, rest assured this is usually the case with S and RS model Audi's. They have sent a query to Audi which apparently they have 48 hours to reply.

He said they can sometimes be a while in logging the build date on these models, but when we eventually get it, it isn't that far away!
 
I've left a TT 3.2 to an S3, ordered October 3rd... still not here yet. Literally counting the days now though!

R33YSE here from the TT forum - I'm also coming from a TT (2014 TDI Amplified)

I'm so impatient, if only Germany did next day delivery.....

Thats strange, I was given my build week on the day I ordered the car and that was 4 weeks ago, its now just left the factory. So a real quick turn around!!

Just spoke to my dealer today and the turn around has been so quick because they already had allocated build slots........ Lucky me. :arco:

Just called my dealer and got my build week. Week 24 :crying:

They said it's likely to come forward but it's due to the high demand of S3/A3's.
 
"Wooooow" still about 17 weeks off until you get it on your drive then. You will have to get yourself a good distraction!!!

If it stays at BW24 at least you can console yourself with the fact it will be a MY16 (changeover is BW22) :thumbs up:

Wow that's some wait. Still well worth the wait based or reading the reviews on here, ticking the days off until mine is built now.
