EDIT, i'm an idiot. I read chainring as cassette!

The length is the length of the arms, I think 175mm is standard if i remember correctly. You're lanky, go for 175mm ;)

As for the chainrings, can't you just get a smaller cassette on the rear of the road bike wheels?

I'm not changing the cassette.
I can't get anything less than 10 teeth on a 9 speed.

I think I got the chainring sorted out.

Need a front disc for the 2nd front wheel and I'm set to break my speed record.

You replied as i as editing my post, but it seems you have it sorted :)

You'll love the slicks, you'll be flying.

My mountain bike only has a single chainring upfront, and it's a pain on roads as I just spin out too easily. But, for hurtling down a hill it's great.

Oh, and I have the exact same chainset on my bike, it's done me well!

That's what happening to me on the road.
I don't use the lower chainring.
only the middle one once in my trip and the top one all the time.

I would go single large but that would screw me up when I'm off road.
Hopefully this way I will keep the usability for both riding types.

I need to order that and then get a disc.
Unless you got a spare? :ninja:

I don't actually, sorry! :(

And yeah, if you need road riding, a double upfront would be good. They do a 2x9 on some chainrings too.

Well its nearly the weekend gents, and it looks like the sun is going to stay with us.
Any plans worth a mention.
I've got the Scottish car show next weekend, should be a good crack. Nice wee day out.
Probably just mow the lawn been a few weeks now, wash the motor and chill.

Weather is amazing down here.
Getting to hot to do anything and its only 0836.

This weekend I got to clean the BBQ, fit wheels to my music box and tidy the garage up.
I might have a BBQ sunday if the weather is good.

Morning all, the weather is very cloudy in Brum this morning, however it is meant to hit 23 degrees later on, tomorrow is meant to be good too, however Sunday we are expecting thunderstorms!!

Its my lads birthday tomoz, he is going to be 5 - already!!!

So got a fun filled weekend lined up, no doubt i will be shattered on Monday!!

And to Nilz, son.
Since i don't know his name, he can be called Neil as well.

Leigh, I use a jet washer to remove the caked on crud.
Then cover it in washing up liquid and engine degreaser or wheel cleaner whatever I got to hand at the time, let it soak for a bit and then jet wash off again.

That won't work to well on my gas one lol. Half an onion works really well. Top tip from lads BBQ bible there.

if its a gas one, like what my dad has.

We normally just scrub the bars till the crap comes off and then shove it in the dishwasher.
The other surfaces just gets a wipe down with some cleaning cloths.

Thanks Scott, his name is actually Shayan, but I can call him Neil, i get called Neil all the time anyway, so like father like son :)

I may raise it as a seperate question, but thought someone in here may know?

check your deeds.

Our responsibility is for the left hand side.

I can't wait to build the other side up.
Got a the rest of my 7" vinyl to go up, a 8 track player, reel to reel, 8mm projector, NES, SNES, N64 and hopefully a gamecube.

Yep it is usually your left side fence that is your responsibility, or whichever side the fence posts are! (usually the left)
