Solar Orange S3 Sportback

Hello. Just joined the Forum, so be gentle with me!Spent an hour earlier today at the Audi dealer going through my order for a new S3 SB and left without placing the order - as I can't decide on the colour!! I test drove one in a dark metalic blue, I think is was estaril or something along those lines. I didn't like that at all as it looked so dull and the other one the dealer had was panther black, that was better, but I black only looks good for ten minutes, if you get my drift... the missis wants white and I admit that looked much better on a new S3 I saw last week in Cambridge and red looks good too. With a little un on the way next year we need to lose my loveley TTS for the more practicle S3 - so need to decide soon! I just wonder about orange? I always coveted my mates S3 SB in solar orange with the black styling pack - it looked totally awesome and that's got me thinking about going that way with my new S3. Not everyone's cup of tea I know, but I am not everyone, lol! Has anyone got a new S3 in that colour and can post some pictures or point me towards where I can view some as try as I may, I can only find pics of mk2 S3's on the net. If that's what you want go for it. Lamborghini orange with black bits looks great. Friend has a Diablo secreted away in his far age in Corcheval in orange and black and is simply superb aesthetically.DO IT ,!!

My mate had an orange Gallardo Spyder. That looked porno.
It's a shame Audi charge so much for exclusive colours, think I'd have ordered a bright blue if it wasn't so expensive.
Just go for it mate you won't be disappointed, you'll defo have an exclusive car!

Just google solar orange and I really like it ! Is certainly not subtle but does look good ! Go for it nd you will have a fairy unique car.

people say my a4 b7 cab is horrible as the colour really is marmite,mine is imola yellow and i love it,i love the orange, anyone can buy a black or blue get the oramge and stand out

What about a black, red or white one, then wrap, if you dont like or I suppose

orange then wrap if you dont like. Might be worth thinking about when you come to sell it on.

But yes youre right, too many dull coloured cars on the road. Actually too many cars and most are dull !

I like the incredible hulk green one they do !

Thanks everyone. I am so nearly going for it! I've asked the dealer for some kind of discount against the £2500 they want to charge me for it though - on the previous S3 it was £500 extra. Hmm. Also the missis is not sold on it yet - she wants to go with Glacier White, the same colour as our TTS. I do like the new S3 in white and I would also have the alloys in gloss black (as I would with the Orange). All black wheels can look great with some colours and terrible with others of course. I'll see how the negotiations go... thanks again.

Personally couldnt live with it everyday but I do like it though, and think its cool to see a flash of colour amongst the drab !
Ive had red cars in the past, both stolen. Last 4 have been different shades of black,
and 2 silver ones.

Funny as I have had a car stolen and that was red... yeah, can you live with it? That is the question I need to ask myself. There's an orange TTS near me - every time I see it I think, wow, wish I'd got colour...

Yes, the S3 order was cancelled. Deposit returned in full and I then ordered the Merc. The missis got involved and that was that. My cayman is currently at the menders - I binned it on a recent track day. Ooops... so currently driving around in my 320D. Yawn.

HoW long you waiting for delivery of the a45? They're selling spiel usually includes boasting how quick merc deliver they're case compared to others.
