It is very rare that the quoted mpg can be obtained or exceeded, although I've managed to see 87mpg under certain conditions...

Yeah, its absolutely possible, but need conditions:

-no traffic
-56mph (ish)
-very light foot
-cruise control (downhill, not uphill)
-no wind
-drive behind a lorry (slip stream lol)

Doing this i managed 57mpg on my Evoque on a 160 mile trip (official quoted is 56 on motorway, and everyone always complains about the terrible economy on the evoque vs quoted).

But driving like this does take the fun out of driving, so i wouldn't recommend it (tho it depends what you class as fun)

I would agree, got stuck on motorway and at 40mph in 6 with cruise control managed between 97mpg and 102mpg for about 6 miles with the COD, was amazed not sure I could drive everywhere at 40mph though

You'd get arrested for a start ;)

What about Sepang with Black Pack - or keep default silver touches?

Personal choice and both look great IMO.

I personally prefer the slightly meaner / more aggressive look of black pack whereas the silver bits are more traditional if that suits you more.

Waiting for +10 PS and free TPMS seems worth it now. The CO2 and MPG will also be a bit better than above for S tronic.

Anyone know when the new Pricing and Specification Guide will be up?

Racing Blue Mica > Sepang Blue > Estoril Blue > Sprint Blue

:)

In other news, Mythos Black is "standard" Metallic Black currently available on A1

Does anyone have a photo of an Audi S3 8V in sepang blue? I was waiting for a good Estoril substitute
and I'm not sure about sepang.

Is the multifunction, 3-spoke, flat-bottomed steering wheel an option or standard. I was told by my dealer today that it's an option they charge.

Best looking photos I seen of an S3 saloon in Sepang Blue can be found here:

Love how you've had your new car a week and already looking to the next one! Top man!

I think I have a disease. Whilst picking up my new car, the business manager was saying how they'd be on the phone after a year of two as folk would be demanding my car on the second hand market, and thus started the RS3 conversation lol. Did feel a bit bad as hadn't driven my new S3 at that point!

Same here! The problem with consumerism is that buying can be so much more fun than owning.

I wanted Sepang but wasn't prepared to pay silly money and wait longer for delivery when I ordered (June 2013), so this feels like a bit of a kick in the teeth. Was going to wait 2-3 years before changing, but thinking might change earlier now. But will wait until 19s are an option.

Edit: And add red calipers (something else I wanted).

Yeah agree a bit annoying, although RS3 aside, I'm loving my Panther Black S3, no regrets :)

The power increase on the COD is nice (for those getting MY15), but a simple tuning box can get more.

Personally, I'm quite happy with the power and torque of my 140 PS engine, and don't see the need to increase the power, though I suspect one of the reasons Audi have increased it to 150 PS is so the CO2 level of the manual version drops to 109 g/km, which reduces the RFL by £10 to £20 pa.

Out of curiosity, I wonder what changes were made to the engine to increase the PS by 10........possibly just changes to the ECU?

Gotta say, sepang blue looks stunning for an S3. Tempted to order one when option goes live in Australia (and sell my currently 1 day old S3 in 6-9 months when the sepang blue one arrives)

Or get daytona grey and see if it's possible to get baseball leather interior like they had on the mk1 TT

Agree, definitely no regrets and really happy with my car. I'd always bought second hand in the past so was never that particular about spec. This one is my first new car, and choosing spec is addictive...looking forward to doing it again!

Almost certainly

It's (Sepang Blue) been available to order back in Feb in Australia (I ordered on in the 1st week of Feb), but to this day, only 3 cars have been slotted into the system, where as the rest of us have not been able to get a build date yet.

You're not asking for much, are you !!

I mean, you've had Prince William, The Duchess, and Prince George all visit, now you want an S3 as well !!!

I think that's sedan only. When I shopped for my Sportback in march the only blue was estoril. There was not a colour I felt strongly enough about to wait for a factory build

I like the car I've got in white, but there's something special about the sepang blue

That's it. All this sepang blue talk has done it for me. I'm going to see the bloke who took my order and beg him to try and sort me out

Sepang blue!!! thats annoying I would have loved that colour on the S3
