Audi S3 - Stroker Big Turbo build.

Could VVT be causing an issue at cold start? Is it possible to check vvt operation with VCDS?

Also wondering it the over fueling is causing the misfire
or
Is the misfire causing the over fueling?

Had the same issue Dman and on 1st boost it would like die then come back. Changed coil harness, map sensor, coils, plugs, water temp sensor, N75, maf, intake temp sensor. Found out only after giving up that the meth check valve was jammed open and meth was filling up the intake pipes and causing it to "flood". Fixed it and now its perfect

I WILL NEVER SELL - NEVER !!!!!

Just been testing different spark plugs to try solve this misfire issue. Using BKR8ie at the moment, seems a lot better than BKR7e which were not up to the job. Got some BKR9ie to try. Still misfire on cold start though, need to pull the plugs out and check the gap on the BKR8ie as they took a beating over the weekend.

"Race" prepping with the one ear'd ninja of death

Went on a club drive over the weekend...

Jebel Jais - YouTube

There was a RS6 V10 twin turbo that came with, owner claimed it makes 700bhp. It didnt look that fast but he didnt want to play, even though I was on a "safe" map for the drive.

At the top....

Was at mates place last night changing valve stem seals on his 19-voetsak jeep. He also has 2 cupra's and they YELLOW!!

K03, K04 and BT

Also been busy with a 3" exhaust system, kinda coping Stacey's setup but got a fair bit to go still.

and a 3" exhaust tip from a C6 corvette

that road looks insane!!!! i would love to drive it!

Yeah it is pretty awesome, it takes about an hour to get there then like 10-12 mins to get to the top. They still building the road so it just stops at the top.
I wanted to go down and up again but didn't have enough time as I had to be back home. Next time though.

it really is awesome!!!

so thats your cat i assume? cos even the cat is not stock its got weight reduction on its ear

she's just a stray kitten that comes to supervise whenever I work on the car. Her ear got chowed off when it was tiny.

Looks familiar :)

I'd have put a 45 deg coming off the straight (where the actual cat is) to smooth the flow before the bend into the first rear box... don't forget to 'de-cat' it before fitting ;P

Yeah, I still have to work out that section, one section at a time as working on the floor is a mean neck and shoulder workout :(

You think that cat would be too restrictive :)

YOH !!!

Its been a whiile since I had anything worth while to update. Been HECTIC with work and damn visa runs.

So the exhaust is finally done, I had to get it finished as the OEM back box was about to fall of.
I have used a vibrant resonator, a magnaflow glass pack muffler and a borla muffler at the back, all 3" and copied Bill's/ Tuffty's design

Video/sound clip to follow.

Also got hold of some DEPO lights, and deblinged them. Nice fresh look.

I have also been "borrowing" my wife's photography gear and doing some night photography.

These have not been edited and still messing around with different camera settings. As you can see I need some better ones of my S3

nice looking exhaust dude

Thanks Bill, its the first exhaust I have ever made, so pretty happy it fits and doesnt touch anywhere.

Here's a sound clip, used a gopro with external mic shoved in a sock and taped to the rear number plate. Might need to be positioned a bit further away as when things get exciting it sounds like satan is screaming out the exhaust

and another little track day, this time it was on a kart track. So it was mostly 1st gear stuff and no boost :(

It's been 42c - 45c over the last few days. Humidity has gone through the roof too. Bit unusual for the start of summer. Meant to be hot and dry.

Hope you don't have to work outside, you just might die :(
