2013 Audi S3

Arrived at dealer . Contact had list of cars arriving with VIN number and customer name. Mine was there and as we were leaving transporter arrived. It is ours!!

Hey bjorngra, loving your photos of your S3. I'm getting the same colour SB.
You taken any more recent ones? :)

Yes seen those. Nice.

So I take it it's your S3 with the LEDs and sunroof. ?

Still waiting to hear when I can have the S3 demonstrator for the day......

Yes, the Monsoon is my S3. The Estoril was a demo car which I had for a day. Love the LED's. It's worth the money. When did you expect your car? It's really cool driving it. Every day a smile on your face.

Found another S3 Limousine pic on my iPhone.

It's got a build week of 13 so far. Mid march for April delivery I think.
LEDs were first thing I wanted! Only had a 15 minute test drive before I knew I wanted one.

Thanks for those. I decided to not get the roof bars too. Looks really good.
My car will look the same from the outside ;)

Indeed, the car looks much much better without them. It looks more sportier. Roof bars are only for station cars.

Is it wrong that I ordered one without even test driving?? I hope you lot are right about the car lol. I couldn't find a local dealer with the automatic so just ordered it! Just over 2 weeks to go woop! :-D

Picking up my new S3 a week tomorrow. Long time coming. Can someone please tell me what paperwork is required when I collect? I know I need my driving license, both parts. I have emailed Audi asking them but no response.

Thanks

You don't actually need your driving license. The dealer will need your insurance certificate to register the car unless Audi are still doing their free 7-day insurance on new cars. Other than that I think all they need is you and your money.

UPDATED

Just confirmed with my dealer that Audi do still offer the complimentry 7-day insurance.

If he is doing PCP with VWFS they normally specify both parts of driving license as mandatory.
if it's a first time PCP then Utility Bill from the last 3 months also required.

Take your Debit Card :)

If you are trading in, then the following documents are also useful:

V5
MoT
Service & Handbooks
All Keys

And yes, Audi are still doing the free 7 day insurance for used and new cars.

No!! I only had half an hour in one on my test drive, and loved every second of it, you def wont regret it. The auto is great, felt seamless to me and very smooth through the gears. You lucky person, mine is late April :(

Thanks guys, will get that sorted.

In other news...The new S1....Audi S1 (2015)

To me the S1 looks pretty good. Just saw a yellow one on Audi's facebook page and that also looks nice but everyone is slating it for the fact that it has 5 doors and is S badged. The A1 has sold very well for Audi so an S1 was inevitable, if the demand is there Audi would be mad to ignore it. Too small for me but I can definitely see the appeal.

Not at all!! I ordered back in June - no test drive and hadn't even seen one in the flesh. Have had mine since early November and absolutely love it - 3,000 miles in and I'm still using every excuse to go for a spin...

For all those who didn't test drive, it's a league ahead of the S3 8P in standard trim, everything is better. I had one for a whole Sunday morning a couple of weeks back and loved it. An excellent car. Some photos I took.

I can't find insurance for less than £350... Can anyone recommend a good company?

Hastings, Kwik Fit and Churchill were all very cheap for me. If you have no mods also try Tesco but use your club card to get discount.

As mentioned in my PM Sue... John Lewis Insurance (through Highway) No Tracker required. LV were cheaper but require a tracker.

10,000 miles a year self and other half. Comprehensive with Business use. Legal cover, courtesy car, 90 days foreign use, protected bonus... I have taken out Excess Insurance on the £500 excess and the cost is £248 a year (including £22 excess insurance!). Bargain I reckon!

Roof tiles, tree branches, bird nests.....

Was near Bath Audi today so popped in. There was two monsoon S3's all prepared and ready to go round the side of the dealership. 14 number plates already attached. Note on the dash with customer name. Thought was a bit early to have them prepped. Both cars only had a hedge separating them from a busy main road. Wouldn't be happy if that was mine.

One thing that makes me very pleased about the dealer I use is that they have a large offsite unit where all cars are stored pre-delivery. Only concern of that is some 'tard probably drives them up to the main site for delivery as they won't be trailered up. Lesser of the evils?

Mine is coming quite a few weeks after the number plate change so it won't be hanging around for long.

No I think you would be safe warren_S3 as I've only ever seen cars being driven around very gently. I saw a new A8 being moved from one part of the Bath Audi compound and it was going super slow!

Some poor guys fully loaded white RS4 was also waiting with the S3's. As it was white you could see the think film of crap all over it.
