S3 parking control module

Hi guys, the parking sensors stopped working on my audi s3 which has front and rear sensors

I had the car scanned and it said it was the parking control module had a fault. I've took the parking control module out from the boot and was looking on ebay for one to replace it. Now does the number on the module have to match the replacement one?

For example the one on mine reads 8PO 919 475 D however there is a second hand one on ebay with the number 8PO 919 475 J. If I'm correct this would be no good? I can't seem to find one on ebay with the matching part number so does this mean i need to go to audi direct and get one from them? If so how much am i looking to pay?

Just do a google and see if the 8P0 919 475 J module is compatible with 8 sensors not 4.

I fitted the new PDC unit 8P0 919 475J a few days ago and had the opportunity for my local Audi service team to check the coding out, while it was in getting some other stuff done.
Basically what they found was that this PDC unit 8P0 919 475J is actually for front and rear PDC

Just done a check on that and J seems to not work as said on the tt forum.

Unless i can find a D second hand on ebay i may have to head to the dealers!

Those are for 4F A6's and 8K A4's ...

Thats interesting as i have 8po 919 475 d in my car now, and that list says its for 4 sensors and mine has 8!

So if i get one of the modules from the list with 8 sensors then i should be good to go?

Will i need to reset through vag com once the new module is fitted?

With you a6 chris, I've been told they are around £120 from the dealers.

I may just go there and get them to sort it.

The modules listed above are not applicable to A3's.
