So I only noticed the other day on my log book that 5 years of ownership was coming up!

5 Years ago to the day - I was off to buy the cheapest Noggy Blue pre-facelift available in the UK from Leeds for just over £5000......and I still have her now - incidentally longer than any lady I've had in my life! lol

I guess I should have expected it would have been a roller coaster of a ride purchasing the cheapest S3 that was in noddy blue :-\ seeing as though pretty much every major part has been replaced I'm still no closer to being 'finished' :D lol

Still haven't been tempted to look at any other car marque since Audi ownership - So here's to another 5 years :)

Purchased - 15/10/2008 @ 108,000 miles
5 years on - 15/10/2013 @ 192,000 miles

Couple of pics with mates going for a drive some 4 years ago now....and possibly one of the cleanest pics of my car taken last month :D

Congrats :beerchug:

One of the last true S cars, the 8P is very capable and I read an 8V review by Richard Hammond a few weeks ago which sums both the newer ones up "you wouldn't know it was an S3 at the front if no badge was on it" flared arches just ooze style so why not have them ?Now you can spec up your A3 with all the S bits unlike the 8L making it more special in my opinion.

Congratulations....

Hope you have another 5year's of pain, sweat, swearing, being skint, annoyed and enjoyment. Lol

Plenty of dedication towards your S3. Lovely example.

Just hope I can keep mine that long. 17months so far.

Cheers guys :)

Back in 2008 I would have never have guessed I'd still have ownership of this car....and wouldn't have thought it would turn out to be such a little classic from Audi. Totally agree with the 8P/8V comments voorhees - I did actually test drive one early 2008 and the exterior styling just didn't do it for me - so I'm happy I stuck with the 8L shape and refer to my S3 as the Mk1 S3 now :yahoo:

As long as you keep on top of the servicing and maintenance Mark then they will just keep on going. It also helps to be a member of an amazing forum with very knowledgeable people who are always happy to help with any issue :)

In fact I think I'll do the one thing I've been dreading in those past 5 years.....adding up every single bill I've had invoiced for my car.

I think a very strong drink will be needed this evening to get me through that! lol

Chris, happy 5th anniversary. Stunning car, well looked after and loved. Indont know if its a good idea to add the invoices up though, i may need to send you a bottle of the finest malt for that. :) i am glad to hear your comments on the forum, its the members contributions that make it " The Best Audi Forum" :) x

You've done 4x the mileage in 5 years than I have done in 12! Good work!

The craziest thing is Joe, is that I have receipts and invoices to prove my garage has been off the road for a good 9-12 months in total out of those 5 years due to it being repaired or modified! lol

Sandra- I would never turn down a single malt, but you will have to join me with one...hurry up and come to England then you can see my motor in the metal :) x

Wow 193000 miles and looks amazing and runs strong, normally you see cars with that mileage just simply wrecked.
