Alright people?

Thought i would ask you marvellous bunch for some advice.
I got my a4 170tdi q in march and now I'm finally ready for some mods, currently I'm thinking 30% tint all round, cupra r front splitter, s4 rear valance with quad tips, rs4 wheels (18") and nice white led interior upgrade,

So that means I have a black b7 170 valance and some 18" s line rs6 style wheels id like to trade If anyone is intrested in buying them or swapping them. Also if anyone has any of the listed items for sale please give me a shout, also is it true you can get the s4 valence from Audi from as little as £35 ? Would I just ring nearest Audi and ask to order a part ?

Its the the first car I've had that's been worth spending money on so I'm new to all this !

Thanks guys and if anyone can recommend any quad tips with a good fit tht I can buy let me know please.

some pics would be great aswell.

( I know I havnt posted any myself I've never bothered coz she's just standard at the moment but hopefully shel be looking smart soon )

The Cupra splitter is dead easy to fit, even for a fumble-fingered idiot like me. The part number is S1ML805903, and should cost around £45 from your nearest Seat dealer. Here's what it looks like when fitted to an SE front bumper:

You refer to tinting "all round". I would be inclined to leave the windscreen and front door windows as they, and just have tints applied to the back and rear side windows, otherwise you might find yourself in trouble with law enforcement and MOT regulations.

Here's a pic of my tints:

For white LED interior lights, just send a private message to forum member T8ups. He will provide you with everything you need and very reasonable prices.

could be interested in the wheels - keep thinking of changing my Avius wheels.

Jdp1962 - cheers for the info mate I'm not that keen on having the back darker than the front so in just going to go with just a light tint all round, I know plenty lads with mot stations so that shouldn't be a problem although it's tuff if the law stops me !

I will order the splitter right away ! And I'm thinkin about just keeping the valence and geting some 3.5 tips on instead of the downies as seen a few pics on here and they look smart although I'm struggling to find a source for the tips, there's very cheap ones on eBay but I know you get what you pay for so need a bit advice if anyone knows, how much is reasonable for a decent stainless tip ?

And ricostuart the wheels are in pretty good nick apart from 2 of the wheels have bubbling at the air valve. I was thinking about getting them refurbed to a slightly different shade but i would still want the rs4s in future so just gonna wait until some come up for sale that won't cost me the earth. I'd rather buy shabby ones and get them re done to be honest. Although I have considered the replicas but heard stories that they are terrible quality so better to wait I think

For exhaust tips, you could try these. This is what they look like on my car:

yeah they look good how did you get them fitted ? Welded or bolted and roughly how much I'm I going to pay for fitting ? Just so I can work out what else I can buy !

And yeah just focussing on aesthetics for now mate but will be mapping and deleting DPF/EGR when I can afford to, never Been fussed about the roll bar does it really make that much difference ?

I think my garage used a combination of welding and bolting; I'm not really sure. As to cost, it was done alongside half a dozen other jobs, so not sure how much labour was attached to it. I'd be surprised if it was as much as an hour, though.

Upgrading the rear anti-roll bar from standard to the RS4 part will make a massive difference to your car's handling. It drastically reduces understeer, making the car vastly more responsive in corners. Parts cost about £100 these days (I think), and you're probably talking an hour and a half's labour, or thereabouts.

Think that could be a future mod. I think I've changed my mind anyway I might just go for the DPF + EGR delete and a map!

I have a few questions though, I'm due a service and mot at the end of the month the cars got 48k on it and I've just had new clutch flywheel timing belt and water pump done.

I am a bit weary about getting it done as I hear it could destroy turbos and clutches, I'm not really a fast driver but do like to hammer it now and again and I'll always have that worry about somthing going wrong because of the work .

but then I'm thinking nah just do it !

Should be fine, just the clutch that sometimes goes, but as I say SHOULD be fine.

r well, been quoted a lot more than I expected for the dpf and remap so not going to bother I cant afford that at the minute!

back to getting wheels I think and the front lip and exhausts.

what do you all think of replica rs4s I could afford a new set of replicas or a second hand decent set of oem, (if I find some for sale that is !)

Mine is on replica RS4s, supplied by this firm. This is the second set of wheels I've bought from them, and on both occasions, I've been very happy with the products and the customer service.

Was told as it's Quattro it's a lot more labour and would be looking at £695 .
And yourself ?

They look spot on mate I might just get them without the tyres and use mine as they are ok at the minute. I guess I'll have to put mine up for sale then coz they're not going in the garage there's enough crap lying around !

ouch!! well as I have my services with them £250 so I understand your pain

Yup; they'll do a wheels-only deal.

did your centre caps fit? Mine don't ! And theyv sent awful cream coloured ones. Will I be able to get genuine audi ones tht fit? Or amI stuck with these crappy ones

Can't see why an EGR Delete & DPF Bypass would destroy a turbo unless you asked them to ramp up the boost to ridiculous levels.

A decent map that is still well within tolerances shouldn't cause problems at all unless you rag the nuts off it all the time.

The EGR Delete should if anything prolong the life of the turbo as it shouldn't clog up anymore.

The DPF bypass combined with the remap should improve fuel economy too.

Interesting that your car has needed a new flywheel after only 48000 miles too. Someone hasn't been kind to that car up to now!

J:)

Without seeing what they've sent you, I can't really comment. Mine fitted fine, and I'm happy with them.
