I to are with you on that point, but we have a diesel now, would still have a petrol, but i loath giving our { what words can i use } government that extra road tax ,(scam) money and for what, s*** roads high fuel, and for their lovely villa's.

I don't love diesels over petrol, far from it! But over 10yrs+ and over 130k miles later, it's a no brainier really in terms of running costs, not to mention the reliability of a VAG 1.9 tdi unit! I still have my S3 and mk2 for the fun times!
