Lamin-X on tail lights??

Anyone done this or any experience of using Lamin-X or similar. I like the idea of being able to do it then take it off again if I change my mind but it looks as though there's quite a bend i the lights so assuming it could be difficult unless the stuff stretches well, any advice appreciated, cheers.

its the best stuff to use
head gun and your sorted pretty easy to fit dont worry about the curve in the light

So better that tnt spray for example, I know that's not really reversible, at least not easily. Also wher's the best place to buy Lamin-X?

I had it on my a3, come mot, just whipped it off, sorted, never got round to putting it back on again

dont get from ebay its all snide and bad
spray tint is also good thats just gone on my cabby but like you say not as easy to remove as the film
also try spy eye im not to keen on it but its growing on me its on the fromt of my cabby aswell dont know how long it will staytho.
will prob be changed for lamin-x soon.

Yep deffinitely the Lamin-X and prefer the lighter shade. Curve on 3dr lights loooks a bit much but so long as it's do-able will give it a go, cheers for the advice and pics.

Its defiantly do-able. I did my 3dr rears. The first light I messed up, second time I tried it it was better, 2nd light was bang on.

I got my mate to give me a hand pulling the lamin-x tight while I heated it up and worked around the contours. Was a bit of a PITA to begin with but once you get used to how to handle the stuff its fine, its pretty forgiving.

yes it is, tried it on the headlights but didn't like it so took them off

Is it just like vinyl wrapping then? Had some experience of this, not all good I would have to say but some success and have a heat gun etc. Had a bad experience biying cabon wrap off E bay so guess Lamin-X the same as said above. Liking the look anyway, what's it like on headlights, does it noticably dim the light emmitted?

i had dark smoke on the front with 8K hids was still very bright

It's harder than vinyl, bit tougher to put on.... My first attempt at lamin x on my mates car I used too much heat and ended up burning a hole into the vinyl. Just need to be really patient and take your time with it.

I see VHT the very high temp paint people are now doing an aerosol, looks black in daylight but at night with lights on, doesn't look tinted at all. Still like the LaminX but interesting, think it's new so doubt anyones tried it yet.
