Ok so i have owned my 2007 (57 pate) S3 since November but never really looked under the boot carpet, as you can see from the attached picture around the spare wheel there are several grey foam sections cut out which are missing the relevant tools, does anyone know whats missing from the gaps ?

As you can see the gaps are the bottom right corner and the top left corner as you look at the picture have nothing in, the top right corner seems to be correct and has a jack, towing eye and several other bits and bobs.

Please post up pictures or part numbers that will assist me to get all the correct items in the correct holes if that makes sense

Thanks in advance
Stuart

Not sure, its empty on mine too.

I use it to store my little air compressor for the tyres

Same as mine.
I also have a leather zip up pouch velcroed to the left hand side of the boot liner which is empty, no idea what that's for either.

I think that has cuts for all the situations. For the cars that come with the spare wheel has the holes for jack, tools, warning triangle. For cars without spare wheel has the cuts for the air compressor, jack, other specific tools.
They did not made different support for each situation. Maybe is cheaper this way.

That a genuine audi top up oil bag. Should have a litre tub of oil

Same as mine.

Yes that is a bag for a litre of oil, my mum has one in her VW Golf ED30, although hers does have oil in it lol !

Oh well thanks for the answers it seems like most of you have the same as me then (if you have the spare wheel) so i wont need to buy any unnecessary bits to fill up the gaps then lol !

You're just showing off 'cos you've got a ski hatch! :undwech:

Doesnt everyone have that ? I thought it was standard !

I do however have OEM leather buckets and heated front and rear seats, and a nice few other bits and pieces from the factory now I am showing off lol !

Hmm trying to remember from when I specced my 2008 S3.... Think if you choose buckets (I did too! Lovely but not overly rear passenger friendly) you automatically got the armrest and ski hatch upgrades too.

Yep my tray had a few empty slots from new, so yes must have 1 tray that covers multiple model options. However do you have the little metal ring and hook for pulling off the centre wheel caps? Most likely thing to go missing when you have the car in for servicing etc.

Cheers Macros, yes i do have that but i dont leave it in there, i keep it hidden with the locking nut keys etc :) you may know a reason why the original owner of the car decided to spec it with hill assist and not sat nav then lol or why he choose BOSE and no iPod connection lol ! Beats me ! I guess in 2007 people werent as Ipod savvy ha ha

Also does your car have a light roof (like a grey/cream colour) for some reason mine does, i kinda like it now, but every other one i have seen has a black roof lining !

No mine has the darker grey roof lining. Don't remember seeing an option to specify it either. Guess they maybe do it depending on paint colour.

As for not speccing the Sat Nav. Yes that'll be because Audi wanted to fleece you £2500 for it!! iPod connector back then was £150 option and utterly cack (speaking from experience!). The newer RNSE mkII can be retrofitted for less and if you want iPod control then get the newer AMI with it. That at least gives you proper iPod control and track info. The old system just treated your first 6 playlists like a 6 disc cd changer. No track info at all.

If you want any retrofits speak to Nigel (NHN). He did all mine and its top quality work too. Highly recommended on here.
