Can you buy car mats from Audi for the S3? Any idea on price?

Just bought mine and it hasn't got any, dont fancy wearing holes in the carpet :noway:

yup, they may need to check the internal carpet colour to make sure they have the correct ones in stock but you should be fine as I think all the S3's are a dark grey inside (it may be worth giving the parts department a ring before you go though)

£44 from audi for genuine front ones

Does anyone know where I can get Audi "rubber" mats?

Cheers, Clach

magic, but sadly it's for 2003>

will keep looking...

Magic find fella...

A few pictures missing makes me question the quality, but I will contact them direct to ask a few questions..

Much appreciated :icon_thumright:

Hi There. Try http://www.carmats2u.co.uk As i had my custom mats from there with theaudi clips, cracking mats, ill try post a pic soon, you can add logo if you ask, i didnt but they will do one for you.
Hope this helps:racer:

Quick update, They are doing a 10% discount if you type in "golfowner" in the discount box, of http://www.carmats2u.co.ukcheeky but i used it for the mats and it worked. I recon they should do a discount for auidiowner club, probably would if asked. Anyway, thats my tip of the day. he he. Off for a drive with the roof down.......:racer:

To conclude, avoid buying your fitted car mats from the car dealers. They charge an excessive price. You are better off buying fitted car mats, from a company which specialises in making them. It may well be that the company actually makes the fitted car mats for the car manufacturer.

Holy thread resurrection.

I disagree, in my experience the dealer mats have always lasted longer than non-dealer versions, therefore non-dealer are a false economy. It could be that I've just purchased poor after market equivalents I suppose.....

Do you sell car mats by any chance?

Hello, I bought a set of S3 car mats from Ebay, a company called wercarmats and they have been spot on, they look the part with the S3 logo's on and they are a nice grey colour and hard wearing too, cost £30
I have bought 2 sets of these mats, a set for my old S3 which I sold and a new set for my new S3, I think for the money you cant get better
I supposed it's just down to individual choice at the end of the day but i'm more than happy with the mats in mine

My dealer mats were far superior to the S3 logo'ed ones I bought,in fact I gave them to Jojo.
The pile on them were not as deep as OEM so dirt was noticeable straight away.

Still prefer mine...

Load and proud!

I have been looking on the bay for a good 6 months for a nice set with the S3 logo etc but was burnt once before on cheap quailty tat that didnt even fit well but still cost £40+

I spoke to awesome GTI a month or so ago and they do mats for the mark 4 golf (same floor plan as the 8L) and they also do them with the S3 logo all for £38.39 you can also pick the trim colour.

Premium Quality Mat Set (4) - Golf Mk4 - Car Mats - Styling - Parts

have just ordered a set as my OEM ones keep unclipping and moving about which is most annoying. Total price inc P+P was £42.88 so still cheaper than the ebay ones. I went for ones with a silver trim to try and match my silver recaro`s. Will post up re quality and fitment once they arrive

My mats arrived but unfortunatly they did not fit at all. Awesome were really good (cant fault their customer service) and said they would get another set out to me that would defo fit but i decided to get a refund instead.

The next day was just looking on ebay and found a proper little bargain, now they arnt blinged up with the S3 logo or anything and its only a set of front mats but they are the proper Audi OEM heavy duty rubber mats and they are a grand total of less than £10 inc P+P. I ordered a set and they showed up 2 days later and the fit is really good so for the money i am really pleased with my purchase.

Here is the link to them on ebay : Genuine Audi front rubber mat set for the Audi A3 2001-2003 models 8L2061501A041 | eBay

Just buy mine when i sell them in a few weeks haha.

word of caution here!...rubber mats stink! very smelly! especially when warm :ninja:
if you can live with that?, so be it, or you need the water proof qualities then fare enough! but if not go for tailored mats!

Yeah I must say I got standard OEM front dark grey carpet mats from Audi about three years ago for £36 and they are perfect.

Am still looking for some velour mats but now i have the genuine Audi rubber ones that stay fitted in place i can wait for something better to come along. My rear mats are almost as new so maybe will try to find some new OEM fronts instead of a full set of blinged up S3 ones.

I dont find the rubber ones smell that bad yeah they do have a bit of a wiff but nothing OTT.
