R-Tech - maybe on Saturday? Anyone know the waiting list?

Finally have the funds (and balls ) to go for a remap.

Leicester is about 1hr away from Chesterfield so I shall go to R-Tech (as it's a lot cheaper than JBS)

So far I've done:

Full Service (oil, plugs, JR filter)
New Gearbox Oil
New N75
New DV
N249 delete
New Haldex Oil
New AP suspension
80mm TIP

Is there anything else worth doing this week before I take it?
Also, anyone know if there's a waiting list? I'll be having 2 tyres fitted Saturday morning and wanna go after that... but won't be able to confirm until Thursday at the earliest :-(

No chance, i bet he is booked up for months on weekends, not 3 days in advance, have you tried contacting therm?

Not yet no, fell into a bit of money today so thought remap time

I booked ron in for some logging and a map tweak, i asked for a saturday and Ben said no chance, they keep that for stage mapping and its booked up, anyway, im booked in for a week tuesday, i called and booked it before i got the rods from bill 4 weeks ago

Yes they are good and yes they are booked up, give ben a call or email (they do reply) and see what they can do

Shark performance are in Mansfield , Ben wardle knows his stuff too, I wouldnt say hes on the same level as niki r tech or bill badger 5 ( highly regarded as the best 1.8 20v tuners out there) but if you we're in a rush........

haha, I just can't justify the extra £200 JBS are asking :-(

I don't mind waiting for the proper job, after reading so many threads on mapping - r-tech and badger5 come out on top, with r-tech being so close I've gotta go with them really (sorry bill!)

I shall give R-Tech a call on Thursday and just book in.. won't know the money situation until then, car is back at Audi for the roof rail inspection, so depending on the outcome of that will depend how much free cash I have

Thanks everyone for the feedback though - from all your experience of mapping is there anything I've missed? Trying to get as ready as possible for the mapping.. just really hope the clutch doesn't slip after the map 140k with no history of the clutch being replaced :-(

I have plently of patience.. car put's a smile on my face every time standard so I don't mind enjoying that for a little longer

Sorry I've just got home! Planned to check ASN when I was there waiting but had crap data signal.

Clutch slipped on the dyno under heavy load :-( however made 260.4bhp and 282 torque! Standard was 208.1bhp and 203 torque.

Well happy with the result drives so much better, my god you can hear it suck for air now!

That impressive tq figures. I bet your well chuffed. Niki is a genius when it comes to 1.8T and no doubt bill is too
