Thought i would try somthing a bit different today.
took a standard set of black casings and rubbed them down a bit, gave them a few coats of Plasti Dip, they were looking sh*t hot, then i gave them another coat .
Anyway this is how they turned out, and tbh they are growing on me with the textured look, i will stick them on at some point to see how they look. They feel like they are wrapped in laytex now with that stuff.

Good thing about Plasti Dip is that if i decide i dont like it it just peels straight off.

Well I got up this morning and fitted the mirror caps.
No pics though, they looked rubbish, you don't know till you try though.
Mirror caps for sale hahaha.

got the old rs4's on at the moment, loving the colour and the look but never get round to sorting the red rings out !!!

The car flew through another year M.O.T on Wed so i can start spending again
Got a full service done, oil change, filters blah blah blah.

Also got my Laminex through the door, some pics.

Maybe now you can buy tyres and put the wheels on ! I put my RS6's on today, iPhone pics are **** so no post.

Hahahaha tyres will be ordered on tuesday, get the pics up, RS6's look great too.

Lloyd , your car looks really good , i like the old RS4's too, i have a set of them on my mk4 Golf.

RS4's new and old & RS6's may be popular but thats because they look so right, still 3 of my fav wheels.

This looks great so far, the rear diffuser effect is simple and works well.
Im thinking about removing the rear wiper also - what size grommet did you use?

If you want to know what your wheels look like on a Votex Avant, ill happily try them on for you

Its actually a cavity box grommet, they only come in 2 sizes and it was the larger of the 2, i think it was the 20mm one.

Tyres are being fitted tomorrow, so maybe the weekend to mount the wheels on the car.

The rear is sprayed on, makes a big difference, Im really happy with it now tbh, im gonna try my black mirror caps on again when i get a minute, now the wheels are on they may look better.

Cheers James, yeah I came across this last week - looks like im going to have to do this at some-point (will wait until I have a bulb out)
Thing is - on the last service receipt from Audi (Jul 2011) They charged £190 to replace the plinth! Which looks like it was never done.

Keys in well with the grille and LCR up front, I like I think, you could maybe put a front / side angle on to give more of a clue as to how it looks. I think I like em Ross it's looking really good...

I installed some ambient led's into the front overhead panel tonight, nice little touch i think.

last time i had these was in a mk5 Golf.

I think i will order some for the rear panel too.

Where did you order your LED sidelights from? I have Osram Nightbreaker headlight bulbs, these would complement well i reckon

The Led sidelights came from this ebay shop, they were meant for VW Tiguan Touareg Touran Golf MK5 , Yeah im running Nightbreakers too and they look fine.

Headlights bulbs, LED bulbs for car items in Mylitco Auto Accessories Aftermarket Parts store on eBay!

The wee black things came with the leds

Same thing as this but it may depend on the size of your leds.
