Ebay TIP

Hi all just wondering if anyone has brought one of the below TIPs. if they have how do they compare to the brand name ones etc and whats their quality and fitment like. cheers

I'd say filter tbh mate also any decent cotton gauze filter will do you just fine so long as it looks decent enough =]

something like this will do you fine mate

Just so long as it's cototn gauze you'll be fine as that's all the other branded filters are (unless of course you're going for a foam filter in which case it'd be foam haha!)

Or you could just by my fully smoothed airbox with pipercross panel filter

already got a filter in mind but just wasnt sure if to go for tip or filter first

doesn't matter really which you get first IMO.

Filter first, the air box is restrictive, if you upgrade the TIP it isn't going to get more air, it is only going to get as much air as the colde air box feed will allow (which isn't much as it is very narrow) IMO as dibdub1 said get a cotton gauze filer first then one of those creation motosport TIP's

What exactly are you basing this wildly inaccurate statement on?


The stock airbox is not restrictive at all, and flows perfectly well. TIP is much more worthwhile.

That said, a filter is good if you like the noise, but on a standard turbo, it won't offer any performance gain at all.....

a increase in air flow. may seen a small gain in bhp.

Well I only based it on what I have seen/ tried and this may not be fact but I have had both a normal box and a cone filter and it feels like it was gettig more air from the cone filter, a cone filter will take In the air easier than the airbox this is why people smooth there box and put a larger feed to it.

As I said this is just my opinion and I am sticking to it lol or at least this is what I am doing, cone filter then a TIP,
