Are there many A6 owners on here???

Just bought our second A6 today after 2 months in a toyota avensis tourer hire car after our original A6 was written off, give me german build quality over japanese after that dreadful car any day! Its a 2002 avant 1.8t, god its good to be back in an A6!

Another one here, I've had my 2.7 TDI Le Mans quattro Avant for just over 2 weeks now, what a car!

Yo. A6 too.

I know what you mean about not much chat; I had a question about my engine and got about 2 replies, so I pretended I had an A4 3.0 tdi and went on the A4 forum, got stacks of replies!

Does anyone know if the 2011 sat nav disc upgrades 2d view to 3d view?

no idea sorry :/

there seems to be very few A6 drivers around i wonder why that is :s ?

dont break down or have any reliability issues like these A3/A4 boys hehe

Just joined the club, got mine (A6 2.0 TDI Auto 2008) about 2 weeks ago, do a lot of motorway miles, this car is a dream to drive, compared to BM's and Mercs that I've had previously its a joy. Love the interior layout too, everything is .... just.... well....sensible lol.

In ref to 2011 sat nav question, my 2008 model has 3D maps, one slight annoyance is that the nav doesn't give you a countdown to next turning/action, it does show on small screen, but not on centre screen.

Just had fab integrated bluetooth telephone system installed, now works like original OEM, and clear as a whistle. I went for the VIseeo system, and it all works perfectly.

The boot space is a thing of beauty, could easily fit the Albanian Mafia Boss from Tope Gear (anyone see that episode) in there lol.

All in all will almost certainly stick with A6 from now on.

Cheers Neil.

I also have an A6, but if you see my other thread, hopefully I won't have it much longer!!

Me too ! Allroad v6 Tdi 180 Bhp ABT Sportsline. Twin ABT exhaust + trim, ABT front grille, rs6 rear spoiler, a6 xenon headlights (look much cleaner in my oppinion),rs6 rear ARB, fat 5 18" winter alloys/ABT a26 split rims for summer, rs4 steering wheel, ABT alloy gearknob, etc.

Hi all - you can add another A6 to the list - mine, (so how many are we up to now) an A6 2.7T Quattro, which we bought to replace our A4 2.6 Quattro and we needed something bigger. I was going to go for a Subaru Forester Turbo Stb - but I'm so glad I didn't. Even better - the wife loves it too.

I've had my 2003 A6 Allroad 2.5 TDI tiptronic about a year now and am very happy with it; currently done 133k miles and I do 30k-40k each year..

Had the (inevitable?) suspension problem that I had been warned of, but that's now fixed.

Only problems outstanding are a warning light for the EGR valve that doesn't want to go away, and a fault code for the hydraulic engine mounts that I need to attend to sometime.

Next big jobs are change cambelt, water pump, tensioners, belt damper etc. (roughly £400 parts from main dealer), and change the transmission oil. With that done, I have no doubt we'll happily pass 200k miles together, perhaps even 250k.

I've got one that I'm either gonna break or sell complete (Depends on offers). It's a 1999, 2.4 V6, lowered with a sports stainless steel exhaust. Get in touch if you need any parts or a complete car. Delivery available.

I've got an A6 2.7TDI quattro tiptronic, by far the best car I've ever had, especially for long journeys. Don't like parking it at work though, sticks out more than most other cars and expecting someone to bump or scrape it every time I go back to it, just bought an A3 to see if I can bear to part with it.

Hi gents,

Any pro's or cons for heater selection för my new Tdi? Thinking of a 220V version as i almost always have access to a plug. Is the diesel heater working good?

just joined in. 2006 3.2 quattro saloon. 1 owner and ex-demo so is full of things that i have no idea how to operate and no owners manual

Please add me to your list (used to have an S3 hence the name). Now have X reg 2.8 V6 avant auto. Love it.

Trying to work out if I can put S6 Avus 17*8 ET35 wheels on her. Tried with standard fit 255/40/17 but they only leave a few mil of clearance.

Think I might need those wheels but with 235/40/17 on instead to give clearance. Have rummaged through old threads, anyone have any ideas?

Another one for your list.

what have you had done to take it to 300bhp?

Got mine done via local Audi specialist "friend" for £200. Pulls from standstill and overtakes far better but mpg suffers when you have fun.
