Decided to do an economy drive in my 2.0 T,and was surprised by the results. My old B5 1.8T did 32 mpg so I saw this as the figure to beat with a newer more efficient engine. Followed the advice of changing up at 3000 rpm, windows closed and tailgating cars for added aerodynamic effect, not letting revs drop below 2000 out of the torque zone. So imagine my horror when I clocked 26.8 mpg a reduction from the usual 30 mpg. I am truly baffled.
