Coilovers fitted!

Hi all,

I ordered the JOM coilies last week (Cheers to Damian from DPM), and spent yesterday fitting them with the help of my cousin. The rears are unbelievable easy to fit. The fronts were a bit more of a pain in the ****. Mainly due to our lack of sense, we didn't fit the bearing beneath the top mount causing the entire strut to pop out from the bonnet fixing! Luckily the bonnet was open so no damage was caused. This was soon sorted though and once done was well worth the effort. Rears took an hour and the fronts well....took a bit longer!

I've wound the threads on the back all the way down and on the front I've lowered it 50mm. I haven't had any issues with the ARB rubbing against the drive-shaft as I was anticipating so let's hope it stays that way! The ride is spot on, not too firm over uneven ground but sturdy around the twistys.

I didn't fit spacers on the rears in the end Gaz. May do that in the future. I'm happy with the fronts as they are.

And yes these are the the JOMs from DPM. Would recommend on the short time they have been on. Plenty of guys have been running these for a while now with no issues, and there's a two yr warranty. Also cannot fault DPM's service. Arrived pronto as stated.

Damn, I bought my sticker from empire graphics based in the US. Paid double that! Oh well...

We should deffo sort out a local meet soon!
