I have a fair idea of the answers myself but;

1/ Can the indicators in the wings be turned off (as everyone knows im doing the facelift as it would be easier for me if i could disable them, failing that i can always work around them)

2/ what are the implications of going from adaptive bixenons to bixenons, presumably just a recode (ill buy adaptive housings late just cash strapped)

3/ does anyone have a spare birror fold adjust switch as im retrofittibg folding mirrors

cheers guys
Phil

Yes you can disable the wing indicators.

Implications of headlights are different headlights of course that actually have there own CAN modules built in, different levelling controller, different wiring, different coding.

& no, buy from dealer as cheap enough.

can someone post part # for folding mirror switch??

Shows 8E0 959 565 A, check it says folding when dealer orders, this shows for 04-09 A3 & changes in 2010 to a 4F0 number.

i counter the wiring part with teh fact the powerpacks are now the same between adaptive and non true though would i just recive an error through vagcom that the motors in the housings werent working?

Yes, they do share the 8K0 control module, but with the addition of a specific power module aswell for the cornering/adaptive lights that isnt found on bixenons & if you scan elsa mate you will see there are wiring changes/additions aswell so shared power pack is irrelevant, as I advised mate it has direct CAN connection for the adaptive lights via the levelling module which is the same as the previous adaptive lights except in the prefacelift lights they have 1 module in the lights only, whereas facelift has 2 modules for adaptive.

worst to worst i suppose all i have to buy is adaptive housings and sell on the bixenon ones

What is difference between the 09 and 10+ light switches?

also is it the full switch for windows?

Yeah good luck with that :), very expensive route IMHO, sometimes if we cant find the parts cheaply, we have to bite the bullet mate as I've done many a time, but this is a huge bullet to bite tbh.

Just buy the switch associated for your year of car, no difference overall & no its nothing to do with windows, seperate switch.

haha yeah mate ive done it too many a time already, and i havent even started with the mods! i noticed how big the price was for the lights, granted i was offered the full 22% discount in the lights so the housings shouldnt be too bad considering i can sell the old ones

as for the switch im buying a 09 one as ive 09 mirrors and modules dont fancy taking the chance tbh its only 20 quid though
