With the weather being better, I've been able to spend sometime polishing the car, trying to achieve that factory finish, but with over 130K on the clock and most of them being motorway miles the front ends got quite a few stone chips.I've taken it to the people who factory colour coded my S-Line D/blades and bumper valances agreed a price and it's there now, but would very much like to change the H/light lenses as well, just to finish it off.
I' ve found the H/lights on the bay for £55 each inc; del; wondered if it was poss to just get the lenses, if so from where ???

Are you swapping them because theyve gone yellow ish? Try some T cut or even better a fine cutting compound.. does wonders

Not yellow, just look worn with light stone-chips, thought i'd replace them as I'm having the fr/end, painted ...

Hi, I assume you mean the clear headlight cover? if so it's a pig of a job to get it off the headlight because it's a sealed unit. Other members who did the joey mod had to melt the lens with a heat gun and prise it open with a screwdriver. Hours of work. So i wouldn't think anywhere does lenses as a seperate item. I've got some sort of chalky powder in one of my headlights and it's really annoying me. Wish i could just access it and simply wipe it

.....like i say, I'm assuming you mean the clear outer bit of the headlight. If not, just ignore my babbling.

There not replaceable as a rule , at least you cant buy replacement lens
only full headlights .

yeah i'll prob; replace the complete units then , (in for a penny !) as they look quite misty with all the fine stone chips ...

Hey Digger, I didn't realise you were local to me. Nice car BTW.

I was wondering how much you have agreed on to have your front end painted as I need the same. I take it they are in Brum?

Cheers

Yes mate £300 bonnet and bumper , if they have to blend the front wings in as well for a better match then an extra £50, so £350 in total, i'll find out sat when i collect...
