Hi I have bought some Leon brembos for my S3 but have heard many different things about them. basically before i set about fitting them do i need different carriers (they came with the standard leon ones)

Some posts say they are a direct fit others say not. the brakes were a bargin with the discs etc in not bad condition. I will be getting some 10mm spacers as well to sort clearence out. cheers for any help and will post some pictures up and how much it cost all in when they are on!

Thats awesome news! I have all the above but will add braided hoses as well while doing it!

I did it by waiting for some cheap ones on ebay and being lucky that he couldnt spell "bremba" or "cuupra" so prob not come up in peoples searches! lol, no i will let you know how i get on!

The LCR Brembos have braided hoses as standard. Disks should be 323mm also if you want to check.

They are def the 323/28mm discs. not sure about the hoses but i will check. all the part numbers match up though so deff of a leon. I have found discs cheaper but they have no wear at all so must be about new!

I been wondering whether to look for some whether they'd be worth the extra premium over some good discs and pads for standard setup e.g. black diamonds or whatever...

Yer thats not bad, i do like the sound of having them but im not sure that isn't just for the name lol!
You have any idea on the stopping power compared with normal setup with black diamond discs or something and a good set of ds2500s?
Guessing you only need the front set set as sold on there?

Is it true you can use the standard s3 carriers for the lcr brembos or is that not the case?

That is the funniest thing I've read on here in ages. Well done 123holah, sounds like you got a good deal. Still looking forward to seeing your infamous Kingfisher S3 at a show in the summer.

I needed to replace my standard discs and pads anyway so I justified it by knocking the cost of OEM replacement parts off the cost of the brembos and then what the 'upgrade' had cost me was well worth it for the extra power and the looks! As for stopping power i guess standard feel wont be much more but there will be less fade after lots of braking but again i will post this up when i have some first hand experience. brakes are biased to the front so upgrading fronts is all thats needer really. LCR rears are the same as S3 ones anyway so for a rear uograde you would need something else.

not sure about S3 carriers on the brembos but i doubt it. will post up for sure when fitted.

I hope i got a good deal they seem ok so as long as all the seals are fine all should be good. iv had a few cars on show stands but my S3 is a bit standard so far.
