On the drive into work today, I noticed a barely perceptible 'looseness' through the steering wheel over rutted and uneven road surfaces. I've not experienced wandering on high-speed roads or any instability/ lack of confidence while braking. I've also not yet noticed any uneven tyre wear, so I'm hoping I've caught it early!

By wiggling the wheel side-to-side while static, I can't detect any play whatsoever. My thoughts were either ball-joints or wishbone bushes, though I suspect I'd have been able to feel it if it were ball-joints?

FWIW, I've had a new F-ARB/ Bushes and drop-links fitted within the last few months (along with a 4WA), so I'm confident in eliminating these items as the culprits...

Anyone offer an insight on what could be causing it? Any opinions welcomed!

Not to throw a spanner in the works, but I had a similar issue when I bought the car. I changed the wishbone bushes, ARB bushes and the ball joints and it seemed to solve it for me...

Thanks chaps.

Got a mechanic looking at it later, so should have it sorted before the end of the week.

If it's bushes, is it worth putting DEFCON's on? Or Powerflex?
