wrist pins - mine dont fit...

so this weekends job is hone, assemble rods and pistons, and install.

just this minute putting the pistons and rods together and i notice this:

as you can see, pin is all the way in, right up to the circlip.

the other side:

Not in far enough to put the other circlip in. Doh

my first thought was to a recent post of tufftys with 2 different 20mm pins, different lengths.
so im guessing mine are too long for my AGU pistons?? The seller probably found the same thing out

seems to me you can buy wrist pins in pretty much any size you need, i've found some tool steal items from probe industries.

these i have are 2.4 inches/mouses pube under 61mm.
Do the pins have to sit perfectly inbetween the circlips? i.e. no side to side movement whatsoever?

maybe il just get these machined down?

What pistons? if using 9.5:1's then the 9:1 pins don't fit...

They are 9.5:1 pistons. Ive clearly been given the wrong pins with these.
There is definately no wiggle room bill. As you can see its butted right up to the circlip on t'other side.
I dont suppose theres a set of pins lyong around your workshop bill??
Tuffty, do you happen to know the length of that correct pin in your picture?

Ahh yes i misinterpreted your answer.

Pins i have here are 2.4inch/61mm.

At a guess the correct size is prob 58-59mm judging by the room i need and tufftys picture.
