Im using the AEM kit, why do you need a permenant live, like a stereo?
its got a permenant live then a +12v IGN for arming.. i cannot see the point unless i am missing something?

I would like it to be dead when i walk away from the car...

think of it more like an amplifier, the ignition live turns it on/off so is dead when you turn the key off and lock up.

i did wonder why the controller needed a permanant live but i'm sure there's a good reason so didn't let it bother me.

Permanent live is for the feed for the pump... uses an internal thermal fuse IIRC.... ignition live is for 'arming' as you say...

Perm live needs a capable 15amp supply, ign feeds tend to be low current so not suitable...

The pump has a perm live as PT said, but the pump is only active when the controller feeds it the -VE. I wouldn't worry about it, many things in your car are live until you switch them on.

Yes Dave, pump has a perm. live feed, and is switched on the earth line by the controller. Controller has an ignition switched live to activate the system.

I wired a switch into my ignition switched live as you suggested, I leave my WMI system turned off unless I'm going for it :)

Ok fitted the WMI ok (been doing in between proper work....;))

Any how it seems to work fine and have fine tuned it to come on about 8 psi and full on at 22 does this seem about right?

Also i need a Meth supplier now, not a problem but i want to test it with meth over the weekend, can i buy 5 litres of meth spirit, or is that not the same? ive heard of virgin meth.... or could i use glycerol, as i have got 5 litres of that??;)

Also does anybody put a drop of acetone in to stop it beading, i know a guy who puts it in his petrol tank and reckons it runs smoother?

8psi seems a bit low to me... also depends on the nozzle size as you can loose power if you don't 'tune' the install right... have seen this quite a few times with cars on the dyno...

12/14psi seems more realistic... then its not on all the time... and there should be enough airspeed at that time to prevent it pooling

Dave I notice nowhere in here you've mentioned about it taking you 14 months to fit the kit ;)

Mine comes in at 10psi then full blast at 18 onwards. Seems to work fine on my car but mine has been mapped so it's easy to drive off boost.
