Hi all, as you know I have had on going problems with this my 54 plate 2.0TDi DSG, a stutter/vibration/judder that happens between 1200-1800rpm, I have had the car every wear to try diagnose it.

I left it at a VW and Audi specialist just outside of town for 2 weeks to try get to the bottom of it, they told me the EGR valve was rather clogged up so they cleaned it out and still found the same problems, so they replaced the egr valve(the vacumn side of it rather to the electrics?) as they found it had air leaking out of it? They run tests on the electric side of it and said it was fine, got the car back yesterday...

SAME PROBLEM!!! but not as bad and not all the time? and still the huge cloud of smoke on start!!!!!!!!!! I FEEL LIKE CRYING

Did they clean out the intake system includng flap, pipes, intercooler, maybe check the turbo, all things I'd check.

know how you feel mine still has a lumpy idle after being serviced. Cant even be ***** to get it sorted now as the garage is mission to drive to, after a 33 mile drive home from work. And they tried several times already

Its not worth taking your car to VW/Audi etc...you'll spend loads of money whilst they basically just guess whats wrong with your car with the help of a diagnostics machine.

Is your car petrol or diesel?

Does it do it in neutral? Give us some more info and someone might be able to help.

its 2.0tdi dsg, its been in to main audi dealer 3 times, all sorts of specialists, when you start on cold it will puff alot of blue smoke out, while it is mis firing severley, then it will stop and cure its self and be fine until the next very cold start.

then randomly it will judder and stuff between 1200rpm and 1800rpm, and when i say judder and stutter it is BAD!!! whole car will shake until you have accelerated out of it or dropped a gear - must say it has improved since egr valve replacement :(
