Subwoofer & rear speakers stopped working ????

i have had mt audi for two years now & my speakers sometimes come on then go of but just recently they have stopped altogether only the rear the front is working fine

any body with any suggestions

are they the bose or the audi concert ones pal

If it's just the rears and sub then it will be the non Bose system as they run off the same amp, the fronts run off the HU. Is it the original HU, or aftermarket? Either the amp inside the tupperware sub is fried or maybe the wiring behind the HU needs investigating

Im guessing the remote has slipped off? As u said it use to happen before

Look behind ur HU for any loose wiring

hi thanks will try getting head unit out & have look its 2000 reg so not really sure what sound sound system is in yes the stereo is original tape deck thanks for your help will put the thing out this week

hi mate finally looked behind head unit today there is some loose wires red black and yellow seem to hanging loose but there looks to have been a hand free kit installed

is it quite hard to get the sub out of the rear?
