Retro fit flat bottom

hi everyone, I currently have a 2017 s1 and I have bought a flat bottom steering wheel from a 2014/15 s1. Does anybody know if I will be able to fit the steering wheel straight into my car and use my existing air bag?

I don’t see why not. I installed a flat bottom wheel to my A1 sport my12 and no issues. Most of your air bags are all the same. They not going to spend millions of dollars in crash test just for a optional steering wheel. everything is based around the safety standards for that car.

I did see somebody somewhere talking about issues with getting the paddle shifters and steering wheel buttons to work but I think that was an A1 not an S1. I'm with tyr382 though, I don't see why connections, components etc would vary from one to the next, but it would be good to get first-hand feedback.
