I have a strange problem with my A4 at the moment and I wonder if anyone else has experienced it?

It is a slight pulsing through the steering wheel when turning the wheel during normal driving. When I say pulsing I mean a non linear resistance as you turn the wheel. It's fairly subtle and does not make any funny noises, but is annoying all the same. Given the lack of steering feel in the A4 as standard this makes it worse and I would really like to fix it!!

Have put a new auxiliary belt on and also changed the power steering fluid. I think these have helped but not cured it completely.

Anyone had the same problem and cured it??

Thanks, Simon.

I had a problem like that with a Ford Modeo, it turned out to be the steering rack, Hope this isn't the case for you but it might be worth getting it checked out.
The fault got worse with me, to the point where I couln't drive the car.
